Goldschmidt went 3-for-5 with a pair of doubles and a run scored in the Diamondbacks' 8-2 win over the Phillies on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Goldschmidt is now up to seven doubles and 13 extra-base hits on the season, placing him fifth in the National League in the latter category. Since April 10, Goldschmidt has slashed .385/.467/.769 with four home runs, two steals, eight RBI and 14 runs, more than atoning for his 4-to-34 start to the season.

Goldschmidt went 1-for-5 with a run scored and a stolen base in the Diamondbacks' 8-4 win over the Phillies on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Goldschmidt has long been one of the more prolific base stealers among first basemen, but he's unexpectedly seen his involvement in the run game decline so far this season, despite getting on base at a .417 clip. The stolen base was Goldschmidt's first of the season -- and also his first attempt -- through the Diamondbacks' 22 games. If his current pace holds, Goldschmidt would finish with just seven steals over a 162-game schedule, marking his lowest total of any full season of his career and an 11-steal decline from 2017.

Goldschmidt went 2-for-2 with two walks and a run scored Sunday in the win over San Diego.
EDGE Analysis
Goldschmidt is slashing .278/.429/.569 through 21 games this season and he's recorded multi-hit performances in back-to-back days against the Padres. He'll look to make more contact at the plate moving forward as he's struck out 25 times in 72 at-bats. The Diamondbacks are set to begin a three-game series with Philadelphia on Tuesday.

Goldschmidt went 2-for-4 with a triple, double, run and an RBI in the Diamondbacks' 6-2 victory over the Padres on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
With two more strikeouts Saturday, Goldschmidt's rate is up to 28.7 percent for the season, which is 6.5 points above his career rate. While the poor contact is a little worrisome, Goldschmidt hasn't seen his offensive profile take a major turn for the worse, as his .402 on-base percentage and .557 slugging percentage are roughly in line with his marks from last season.

Goldschmidt went 2-for-4 with a walk and a run scored Wednesday in the Diamondbacks' 4-3 loss to the Giants in 10 innings.
EDGE Analysis
With the Diamondbacks trailing 2-1 entering the bottom of the ninth inning, Goldschmidt delivered a leadoff double -- his second of the night -- and came around to score the tying run when A.J. Pollock followed with a two-bagger of his own. The first baseman has now amassed eight extra-base knocks over his past eight games, quelling most of the concern about his 3-for-30 start to the season.

Goldschmidt went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in the Diamondbacks' 7-2 loss to the Dodgers on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
The Dodgers had the game well in hand when Goldschmidt took Clayton Kershaw deep in the top of the seventh inning, but the long ball -- the first baseman's fourth in five games -- was a welcome sight following a slow start to the season. In addition to showing a resurgence in the power department, Goldschmidt's strikeout rate has also started to stabilize, offering hope that he'll be able to raise his .241 average closer to his .298 career mark in the weeks to come. One lingering area of concern for Goldschmidt is his lack of involvement on the basepaths to date, as he hasn't attempted a steal through the Diamondbacks' first 15 games after recording no fewer than 18 stolen bases in any of the past three seasons.

Goldschmidt went 3-for-4 with a home run, two RBI and two runs scored Saturday against the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
Goldschmidt enjoyed a productive performance Saturday, with the main damage coming on a two-run home run off left-hander Rich Hill in the third inning. He is breaking out of a slow start to the season with three home runs in his past four games. His value is still a bit muddled due to the humidor at Chase Field, but there is no doubt that he remains one of the best fantasy options at first base.

Goldschmidt went 2-for-4 with a home run, a double and three RBI in Wednesday's 7-3 win over the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
With four extra-base hits in his last three games and home runs in back-to-back contests, Goldschmidt finally seems to be waking from his season-long slumber. It's particularly encouraging that Goldschmidt, who entered the series with a meager .100/.341/.133 slash line and a career-worst 26.8 percent strikeout rate, managed to break out at San Francisco's AT&T Park, a notoriously pitcher-friendly venue. Dodger Stadium is certainly no hitter's haven either -- especially with Kenta Maeda, Rich Hill and Clayton Kershaw slated to start the next three games for Los Angeles -- but Goldschmidt's strong showing in San Francisco should give fantasy owners confidence in him heading into a trio of tough matchups this weekend.

Goldschmidt went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, two runs and a walk in Arizona's 5-4 loss to the Giants on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Goldschmidt finally picked up his first long ball of the season and did so in dramatic fashion with a game-tying solo shot off Hunter Strickland in the ninth inning. There's no denying it's been a rough start for the perennial All-Star first baseman and he's still hitting just .158. However, he's managed to walk 11 times to keep his on base percentage at a respectable .360 through the struggles and he's got a triple and three runs scored over his past two games in addition to the homer. When he gets it rolling, few can provide the same type of cross-category production that Goldschmidt offers, so hopefully Tuesday's homer is a sign he's ready to get back to his old tricks.

Goldschmidt went 1-for-4 with an RBI triple and a run scored in Monday's 2-1 win over the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
Goldschmidt's first-inning triple ended a five-game streak during which the first baseman went without an extra-base hit. That would be the only highlight of the night for Goldschmidt, as he struck out in two of his final three at-bats to lower his average to .118 for the season. A .190 BABIP has been a major factor behind Goldschmidt's demise, but the 30-year-old also isn't hitting the ball with much authority in the early going. He sports groundball and soft-hit rates of 52.4 and 19 percent, respectively, both well above his career marks of 44 and 11.3 percent.
