Goldschmidt went 1-for-2 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 19-2 loss to the Rockies.
EDGE Analysis
Goldschmidt staked the Diamondbacks to an early lead with his first-inning solo shot -- his 21st of the season -- but that was just about the only highlight of the night for Arizona, which saw its nine-game winning streak over Colorado come to a screeching halt. With the Rockies racing to a 17-run lead after four innings, Goldschmidt checked out of the game in the bottom of the fifth, with Alex Avila and Daniel Descalso finishing out the game at first base.

Goldschmidt went 2-for-3 with a home run, walk, three RBI and two runs Saturday in the Diamondbacks' 20-5 win over the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
Goldschmidt blasted one of five home runs on the night for Arizona, which set a single-game franchise scoring record in the rout. Arizona used a well-balanced attack to dispatch the Padres, as Goldschmidt's three RBI matched three other players for the team lead. The first baseman's slow start through the first two months of the season now looks to be a distant memory; he's slashing an incredible .376/.471/.752 with 13 home runs, 32 RBI and 29 runs over his last 34 games, though he hasn't provided any steals over that stretch.

Goldschmidt went 2-for-4 with a three-run homer in Tuesday's win over the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
Goldschmidt tagged starter Jack Flaherty for a three-run shot -- his 19th homer of the year -- in the fifth inning to put the Diamondbacks up by two. It was Goldschmidt's second home run in three games, and the first baseman has now brought his slash line to .277/.385/.538 on the season. By the end of May Goldschmidt was hitting .209/.326/.393 with seven home runs, so he's made remarkable strides to bring himself back into productive form. He's now tied with Milwaukee's Jose Aguilar for most home runs among MLB first basemen, while his 58 runs lead all others at the position.

Goldschmidt went 4-for-4 with an RBI in the Diamondbacks' 6-3 loss to the Cardinals on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Goldschmidt tallied nearly half of his team's nine hits on the night, with all going for singles except David Peralta's fourth-inning triple. The first baseman has fallen into a slight power outage of late with only three extra-base knocks in his last eight starts, but he's at least pacified fantasy owners with a .367 average over that span. Goldschmidt's season batting average has climbed 76 points since May 23, moving from .198 all the way to .274.

Goldschmidt went 3-for-5 with a run and an RBI in Thursday's win against the Marlins.
EDGE Analysis
Thursday marked Goldschmidt's first multi-hit effort since June 17 -- a span of eight games. Goldschmidt collected two hits and an RBI in the first two innings before rounding things off with a double in the fifth. He has clearly cooled off since his major power surge earlier in the month, but Thursday's strong outing is a positive development regardless.

Goldschmidt will sit for just the third time this season Sunday against the Pirates.
EDGE Analysis
Since his last day off nearly a month ago, Goldschmidt has been on a tear, hitting .386 with a 1.338 OPS and 11 home runs in 22 games. Daniel Descalso will play first base Sunday.

Goldschmidt went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer and two walks in Tuesday's loss to the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
Goldschmidt tagged Angels' closer Blake Parker for a two-run homer -- his 16th of the year -- in the ninth inning to bring the Diamondbacks within one run. Goldschmidt has been on fire of late, hitting .423 with nine homers and 20 RBI in the month of June. Despite the early struggles in the year, Goldschmidt leads all first basemen in runs scored (51) and is tied for second at the position in home runs.

Goldschmidt went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run and a walk in Monday's 7-4 win over the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
It's the eighth home run of the month for Goldschmidt, who is slashing .426/.506/.897 across 17 appearances in June. Despite his magnificent production the past two weeks, Goldschmidt's season OPS (.895) -- though still impressive -- would rank as his worst mark of any of the past six years. An elevated strikeout rate (28.8%) and the deflated offensive environment at Chase Field following the installation of a humidor have hindered Goldschmidt, but even with those handicaps, he's still performing at a level close to what fantasy owners probably expected heading into the campaign.

Goldschmidt went 3-for-5 with a solo home run, two runs and two RBI to help the Diamondbacks to a 7-3 win over the Mets on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Pretty much no one is as hot as Goldschmidt these days, as the veteran first baseman has broken out of his early-season slump in resounding fashion by posting a mind-boggling .442/.525/.942 slash line with six home runs over his 52 June at-bats. His .893 OPS on the season is inching much closer to his career mark of .927, and Goldschmidt is putting whatever lingering concerns may have existed regarding his slow start firmly to rest in a hurry with his red-hot hitting.

Goldschmidt went 2-for-5 with two walks and two runs Tuesday in the Diamondbacks' 13-8 win over the Pirates.
EDGE Analysis
With six multi-hit outings in his past seven starts, Goldschmidt's batting average has climbed 48 points to a palatable .258. That's still well below his marks from each of the past six seasons, but the recent form he has shown at the plate offers optimism that more positive regression in the category could be coming for the first baseman. With several of the Arizona bats around him in the order also heating up, Goldschmidt has also collected 11 RBI and has scored 11 times over that seven-game stretch.
