Patrick Corbin wasn't great Sunday but moved to 9-0 anyway, allowing four runs over six innings in an 8-4 win over the Cubs.
The left-hander surrendered six hits, walked two and struck out five. After not allowing more than two runs in his first nine starts this season, Corbin has now given up eight runs -- seven earned -- over the last two outings. However, he hardly pitched poorly in either start, and he still boasts a pristine 2.06 ERA and 1.05 WHIP. He'll get the Giants next.

Patrick Corbin gave up three earned runs on seven hits over six innings in Sunday's win over the Padres.
It was another solid outing from Corbin, who is coming off a complete game three-hitter at Coors Field. He improved to 8-0 with a 1.71 ERA this season. Corbin had went at least six innings and allowed two or fewer runs in each of his last nine starts. He finished with two walks, five strikeouts, and surrendered a two-run shot to Carlos Quentin. Corbin will have a strong chance to remain undefeated in his next start Sunday against the Cubs.

Patrick Corbin moved to 7-0 by pitching a three-hitter and striking out 10 as the Diamondbacks topped the Rockies 5-1 on Monday.
Corbin's April could have been written off as something of a fluke after he went 3-0 with a 1.91 ERA. However, he's now 4-0 with a 0.92 ERA in May. It's a pretty amazing transformation for a guy who went 6-8 with a 4.54 ERA and 14 homers allowed in 107 innings last year.

Patrick Corbin pitched three-hit ball for seven innings in the Diamondbacks' 2-0 win over the Braves on Tuesday.
Corbin walked a season-high five batters tonight, but it didn't hurt him as he limited Atlanta's lineup to a double and two singles. He's gone eight straight starts this year without allowing more than two runs. If not for two J.J. Putz blown saves, he'd be 8-0 at the moment.

Patrick Corbin improved to 5-0 by allowing one run in 6 1/3 innings Thursday in a 2-1 win over the Phillies.
Corbin limited the Phillies to just four hits (all singles) and two walks (one intentional) while striking out four. He also hit a batter. The lone run scored on a fielder's choice after Corbin was replaced by Matt Reynolds in the seventh inning. One of the biggest surprises of the early part of the season, Corbin has gone at least six innings in all seven of his starts this season and has allowed two runs or less in each of them. He'll carry a 1.75 ERA into a start against the Braves next week.

Patrick Corbin limited the Padres to one run in seven innings and struck out seven in Arizona's 8-1 victory Saturday.
Corbin improved to 4-0 and lowered his ERA to 1.80. The Diamondbacks have won all six of his starts. There's still nothing really that stands about his arsenal, but as he's hitting his spots with his low-90s fastball and mixing in a pretty good slider. It's been plenty good enough so far.

Patrick Corbin allowed two runs on nine hits over 6 2/3 innings in Sunday's win over the Rockies.
It was Corbin's fifth straight quality start. We remain skeptical that he can maintain this pace over the course of the season, but there's no denying Corbin's impressive fist month. He's yet to lose a game and ranks seventh in the National League with a 1.91 ERA.

Patrick Corbin surrendered two runs in 7 1/3 innings Tuesday in a no-decision against the Giants.
Corbin took a shutout into the eighth before retiring just one of the four batters he faced that inning. Up until that point, he had allowed three hits, walked none and struck out seven. We're still rather skeptical about the left-hander, but there's no denying that he's been one of the NL's best pitchers so far.

Patrick Corbin was superb Thursday but watched his bullpen blow his win, as he held the Yankees to one run while striking out seven over seven frames in a 6-2 extra innings victory.
Corbin issued three free passes, but he allowed just two base hits, one of which that was a Robinson Cano home run. Even against a depleted Yankees' lineup, it was quite a performance from the left-hander in a tough environment. Corbin has made manager Kirk Gibson look smart to this point for naming him the fifth starter, as he boasts a 1.42 ERA and 1.05 WHIP through three outings. He'll try to keep it going next week in San Francisco.

Patrick Corbin pitched three-hit ball for six innings and combined with three relievers on a shutout of the Dodgers on Friday.
Brad Ziegler, David Hernandez and J.J. Putz finished the 3-0 game. Corbin, who beat out Randall Delgado and Tyler Skaggs for a rotation spot this spring, is 2-0 with a 1.50 ERA. His long-term upside is pretty limited, but NL-only leaguers should enjoy the ride.
