Patrick Corbin wasn't sharp in Wednesday's loss to the Rockies, allowing six runs on nine hits and two walks in six innings of work. He struck out three. That won't do, especially with Daniel Hudson edging closer to a return from the disabled list. The owner of a 5.73 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 15/7 K/BB ratio through 22 innings, Corbin may get 1-2 more starts before being sent to the bullpen or returned to the minor leagues.

Patrick Corbin struggled in his second career start, allowing four runs on five hits in just 3 2/3 innings against the Mets on Saturday. Corbin struck out two and walked to in the game. He was cruising along until the fourth inning when the Mets strung together four hits and a walk to push across their four runs. With Daniel Hudson's status still unknown, it appears that Corbin could make at least one more start in the Diamondbacks rotation, which would occur next week against the Giants.

In his major league debut Monday, Patrick Corbin allowed three runs over 5 2/3 innings as part of a 9-5 win over the Marlins. Corbin was a little shaky in his first inning of work, loading the bases on two hits allowed and a hit batsman, but he managed to escape by doubling up Omar Infante on a comebacker. He was very solid from there, though. All told, the 22-year-old southpaw gave up eight hits (including a two-run homer) and three walks while fanning six. While not as highly-touted as Trevor Bauer or Tyler Skaggs, Corbin is worth owning in NL-only leagues as long as he has a rotation spot. He'll get the Mets this weekend.

Diamondbacks recalled LHP Patrick Corbin from Double-A Mobile. Corbin will take the mound Monday against the Marlins in his MLB debut and will presumably have an opportunity to secure a long-term spot in Arizona's starting rotation. The 22-year-old left-hander had a 1.67 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 25/8 K/BB ratio in 27 innings this year at the Double-A level. He was acquired in the 2010 Dan Haren trade, and deserves a look in NL-only leagues.

In a surprising move, the Diamondbacks have announced that they will recall Patrick Corbin to make his MLB debut against the Marlins in Miami on Monday. It's not surprising that Josh Collmenter is being replaced in the rotation, however most considered top prospects Trevor Bauer or Tyler Skaggs the favorites to take his spot. Corbin, who was acquired from the Angels in the 2010 Dan Haren trade, is 2-0 with a 1.67 ERA and 25/8 strikeout to walk ratio in 27 innings for Double-A Mobile. He's worth a look in NL-only fantasy leagues.
