According to David O'Brien of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the Braves will skip Mike Minor's next start. The move clears a rotation spot for Paul Maholm and will give Minor some needed rest before the stretch run. Minor was shelled for four earned runs in just 1 2/3 innings on Saturday against the Nationals.

Mike Minor gave up four runs and three homers in six innings Thursday in a loss to the Mets. The Braves lost a Minor start for the first time since May 3, also against the Mets. We wouldn't be too concerned about the one homer-prone start. Since all three were solo shots, he managed to minimize the damage and keep the Braves in the game.
