Wieters (elbow) will be behind the plate for a rehab game Tuesday with Triple-A Norfolk, CSN Baltimore's Rich Dubroff reports. Wieters will catch for Bud Norris, who is trying to make his return from an illness. The Orioles initially scheduled Wieters to play at High-A Frederick on Monday and Norfolk on Wednesday, but elected to cut down his rehab assignment after manager Buck Showalter came away satisfied with the catcher's performance in his prior three games with Double-A Bowie. Wieters is on track to return from the 60-day DL on Friday.

Wieters (elbow) is in line to be activated next Friday in Cleveland, the Baltimore Sun's Eduardo Encina reports. He has rehab games scheduled for Saturday, Monday and Wednesday with him slotting into the Orioles' lineup Friday if everything goes as planned. It's unlikely that Wieters will start as often as starting catchers of his ilk until the Orioles are comfortable with him catching a few nights in a row. Caleb Joseph should remain the backup with Steve Clevenger the likely candidate to be sent to Triple-A.

Wieters (elbow) continues to catch every other day, and will be behind the plate both Thursday and Saturday for Double-A Bowie, Eduardo A. Encina of the Baltimore Sun reports. Wieters continues to work through his arm issues, and he doesn't throw on days he doesn't catch. Wieters could move around a bit in the near future during his assignment, but an early June return doesn't appear out of the question barring a setback of some kind.

Wieters (elbow) said that a June 4 return to the Orioles remains a possibility, Dan Connolly of the Baltimore Sun reports. Wieters is scheduled to throw Saturday and play in a game Tuesday at Double-A Bowie. Connolly reported that Wieters is expected to play every other day at Bowie during his rehab assignment. If he makes it through the assignment without any further setbacks, he could rejoin the Orioles in the first week of June.

Wieters (elbow) experienced some tightness in his hamstring recently but will still catch Thursday in extended spring training, MASN's Roch Kubatko reports. It is worth noting that Wieters' progress continues to be hampered by minor ailments and setbacks, but for now it seems like his probably still on track to begin a rehab assignment with Double-A Bowie next week. That said, his return has been stalled at every turn and owners should not make plans based on an expectation that Wieters will be back catching for the Orioles on any definitive date.

Wieters (elbow) will begin a rehab assignment with Double-A Bowie next Tuesday, Eduardo A. Encina of the Baltimore Sun reports. Wieters has been able to catch eight innings in extended spring training games and appears to be progressing well, so he'll move onto the final step of his recovery with a rehab assignment. The catcher isn't eligible to be activated off the disabled list until June 4, but it appears that date could still be within reach if all goes according to plan.

Wieters (elbow) will join the Orioles in Miami next weekend and could begin a rehab assignment shortly after, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports. Wieters has been catching nearly full games in extended spring training recently, and the team hasn't ruled out a return June 4 when he's first eligible. Going on a rehab assignment would be the final step before returning, so it looks as though nothing has changed in that regard.

Wieters (elbow) won't be eligible to return from the 60-day disabled list until June 4, MASN's Roch Kubatko reports. While Wieters is scheduled to catch eight innings in an extended spring training game Tuesday, the recent move to put him on the 60-day DL confirms that he won't be back any sooner than June 4. It won't be surprising if he's ready by that date.

Wieters (elbow) will catch eight inning Tuesday in extended to spring training, Dan Connolly of the Baltimore Sun reports. Wieters continues to stretch out his innings as he progresses towards a return. He was transferred to the 60-day DL on Sunday, which allowed the Orioles to place Jorge Rondon on the 40-man roster. His timetable remains cloudy at this point, but it should clear up as he inches closer.

Wieters (elbow) was transferred to the 60-day DL on Sunday, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports. Wieters is beginning to ramp up his rehab and should catch a full game at extended spring training before the end of the week, but he's still not eyeing a return to the Baltimore lineup until the early part of June. The move to the 60-day DL won't affect his timeline, as it simply allows the Orioles to add waiver claim Jorge Rondon to their 40-man roster.
