Wieters went 1-for-4 with a single and a strikeout as the DH in Saturday's loss against the Indians. Wieters did not serve as the catcher with a day game right after Friday night's game. He figure to be behind the plate again Sunday, though days off could be frequent. The good news for Wieters is that he should be able to utilize the DH position on a good chunk of his days off.

Wieters was 2-for-3 with a sacrifice fly, a run scored, and two RBI in his 2015 debut with the Orioles on Friday night. He had missed more than a year after undergoing Tommy John surgery last spring so the Orioles are certainly glad to have him back. He was behind the plate in this one and will alternate between catching and DHing for the foreseeable future, but he should see regular a bats and should be safe to get into your lineup at your first opportunity.

Wieters, who is in the lineup Friday, will begin by catching every other day with the chance to DH on off days, Eddie Encina of the Baltimore Sun reports. Wieters will make his season debut Friday, but he'll be eased back into action and is without a timetable to begin catching back-to-back games. It's unclear how often he'll serve as the DH on off days, but the team will likely try to get him as many at-bats as possible to expedite his readjustment to major league pitching.

Wieters (elbow) was activated from the disabled list Friday, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports. Wieters has yet to play in a major league game this season, but his activation Friday likely indicates his return to the lineup will probably come as well.

Wieters (elbow) caught the entire first game of a doubleheader and served as the DH for the second game, going 3-for-5 with a solo home run and a walk during rehab appearances at Triple-A Wednesday. Wieters should be set to be activated Friday and will play in his first MLB game in over a year following Tommy John surgery. The Orioles will probably be sure to give WIeters every day off that the schedule allows, probably all day games after night games. Nonetheless, Wieters is in a contract year and will certainly be motivated upon his return.

Wieters (elbow) will serve as the DH at Triple-A Norfolk on Wednesday and is expected to rejoin the Orioles on Friday in Cleveland, Eduardo Encina of the Baltimore Sun reports. It originally sounded as though Wieters could join the Orioles in time for Wednesday's game, but he'll now play one final game at Triple-A before heading to Cleveland to catch Friday's contest. Wieters, who has not played in the majors this season, will be Baltimore's primary catcher, though he may be eased back into action in the short-term.

Wieters (elbow) will catch Game 1 of Wednesday's doubleheader with Triple-A Norfolk and could be the DH for the second game, the Virginian-Pilot's David Hall reports. He was expected to rejoin the Orioles on Wednesday, but Tuesday's game with Norfolk was postponed, so he will remain with the Triple-A affiliate for at least one extra day. Look for Wieters to rejoin the Orioles later this week if everything goes as planned.

Wieters (elbow) is expected to return to the Orioles following Tuesday's game at Triple-A Norfolk, Eddie Encina of the Baltimore Sun reports. Both Wieters and Bud Norris (illness) are slated to play for Norfolk on Tuesday, and if everything goes as planned, both players will return to Baltimore after the game. It's unclear when each would be activated, however, as the Orioles begin a four-game set in Houston on Monday night. Conceivably, they could meet the team in Houston for Wednesday's game, but at this point it's unknown whether that may be the plan.

Wieters (elbow) could DH for the Orioles on Thursday against the Astros or he could rejoin the club Friday in Houston, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports. The latest news doesn't shift his timetable much, but it could bump it up a day. However, it would just be in a designated hitter role for the Orioles if he indeed plays Thursday, while his return behind the plate remains slated for Friday. Upon his return, the Orioles will need to make a decision between the two other catchers, but Steve Clevenger seems the likely candidate to lose his 25-man spot.
