Shoemaker (personal) is expected to start Wednesday against the A's, Alden Gonzalez of MLB.com reports.
Shoemaker missed his last start due to a personal issue, and while it sounds like he will make it back for Wednesday's outing, nothing is official just yet. Through three starts (15.1 innings), Shoemaker has a 6.46 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and .311 BAA.

Shoemaker was placed on the bereavement list Wednesday.
It's unclear exactly what the situation is, but Shoemaker is expected to be back in time for his next start. The club recalled Nick Tropeano from Triple-A Salt Lake to fill his roster spot during his absence.

Shoemaker gave up five runs on seven hits over three innings in a losing effort against the A's on Monday.
He struggled to get ahead of hitters consistently Monday night, recording a first-pitch strike against nine of the 18 batters that he faced. Shoemaker turned in quality starts in his first two appearances before Monday's clunker, and he'll look to bounce back against the Rangers at home Saturday in his next scheduled start.

Shoemaker earned his second win of the season Monday, holding the Rangers to three runs in 6.1 innings.
All of the damage against Shoemaker came in the first inning, after which he managed to settle down. Consistent through his first two starts, Shoemaker will look to continue his consistency this weekend against the Astros.

Shoemaker allowed three runs on six hits over six innings en route to picking up his first win of the season Wednesday against the Seattle Mariners.
He struck out five in without issuing a walk in the contest. The two runs allowed came on home runs, but owners have no particular reason to worry about the long ball going forward, as the 28-year-old allowed just 14 in 136 innings last season. Shoemaker will look to turn in another solid performance when he faces the Rangers at Globe Life Park on Monday.

Shoemaker threw six hitless innings in a Cactus league game against the Mariners on Monday. He stuck out two and walked a batter in the contest.
After being hammered for seven runs over six innings in his first two starts of the spring, Shoemaker answered with a gem Monday. Spring results generally don't mean much one way or the other, but it could be encouraging to see Shoemaker rounding in to form as he looks for a repeat of his breakout season in 2014, when he tallied a 3.04 ERA with 124 strikeouts over 136 innings.

Shoemaker allowed one run (zero earned) on five hits over six innings to pick up a no-decision against the Royals in Game 2 of the ALDS on Friday. He struck out six and did not walk a batter in the contest.
Shoemaker showed that the oblique issue that sideline him for the final two weeks of the season was no issue Friday, as he was able to shut down the Royals after a misplay by Kole Calhoun in the first inning led to an unearned run. The 27-year-old was certainly impressive in the first postseason start of his career, but it was not enough as the Angels lost in extra frames for the second straight night. He will need to hope the team can battle back to allow him to get on the mound for a deciding Game 5.

Shoemaker (oblique) will start Game 2 of the ALDS against the Royals on Friday, Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register reports.
It appeared as the Angels were lining up C.J. Wilson to start Game 2, but evidently Shoemaker showed enough during his bullpen session Tuesday to convince the coaching staff that he is over his oblique injury. Manager Mike Scioscia has decided to roll with just a three-man rotation in the series, meaning Shoemaker will then go again in Game 5, if the series gets that far.

Shoemaker (oblique) said his bullpen session Tuesday went "great" and he has "no doubt all all" he'll pitch in the ALDS, Alden Gonzalez of MLB.com reports.
The right-hander missed his final two starts of the regular season due to an oblique strain, but he appears on track to start Sunday's Game 3 of the ALDS, after making it through Tuesday's bullpen without issue. Manager Mike Scioscia has yet to formally announce his starters beyond Jered Weaver in Game 1. Shoemaker proved to be a crucial piece in the team's AL-West-winning puzzle, going 16-4 with a 3.04 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 124 strikeouts across 136 innings this season.

Shoemaker (oblique) is on track to start Game 3 of the ALDS, Fox Sports' Ken Rosenthal reports.
This isn't official, but that is how the Angels' rotation projects out. He played catch Monday and will throw a bullpen session Tuesday if he feels good.
