Andriese was recalled and will start the second half of Tuesday's doubleheader, the Tampa Tribune's Roger Mooney reports.
Considering he will be facing the Royals, who are favored and typically do not strikeout very much, Andriese should be considered a low-end option in daily leagues. He has a 3.90 ERA and 17 strikeouts in 27.2 innings as a starter for the Rays this season and will be sent back down to Triple-A following Tuesday's game.

Andriese is listed as the starter for the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Royals.
Monday's matchup was rained out, so the teams will play a day/night doubleheader Tuesday. Andriese will come up from Triple-A Durham as the Rays' 26th man, and he'll likely head back down Tuesday night.

Andriese was optioned to Triple-A Durham on Sunday, Steve Carney of WDAE 620 AM reports.
Despite tossing a six-inning, one-hit gem against the Red Sox on Saturday, Andriese will head back to the minors with the Rays expected to get Matt Moore (elbow) back from the DL during the coming week. Though the right-handed Andriese hasn't been dominant by any means, he's been a godsend for a Rays rotation that has been ravaged by injury over the first three months of the season. In 11 appearances (six starts), Andriese has provided a 3.24 ERA, 1.15 WHIP, and 27:7 K:BB ratio over 41.2 innings. He should be the Rays' top choice in the event another starting vacancy comes about.

Andriese was excellent while getting the win over the Red Sox Saturday, pitching 6.0 innings of one-hit, shutout innings and striking out five.
Allowing no runs brings Andriese's ERA down to 3.24, its lowest mark since his scoreless relief inning from his season debut. Unfortunately, he's still a strong candidate to leave the rotation once Matt Moore and Jake Odorizzi return from injury. That and his low 5.6 K/9 strikeout rate leave his ceiling extremely low.

Andriese (2-2) gave up four runs on five hits over 5.1 innings in a loss Monday to Toronto. He struck out two and walked none.
Even if Andriese can maintain his 3.79 ERA, it's hard to see much fantasy upside in a groundballer who has managed just 22 strikeouts in 35.2 innings. He has yet to go six innings in a start this season.

Andriese earned his second win of the season on Wednesday giving up just two hits across four innings.
Andriese entered the game in the third inning and pitched through the sixth. He gave up just two hits while walking one and striking out two. He's now 2-1 with a 3.26 ERA on the season. He should be back to a normal rotational start next week.

Andriese will not start Wednesday's game, but will still play a role out of the bullpen, the Tampa Bay Times' Marc Topkin reports.
Steve Geltz will get the start and the Rays will basically treat Wednesday as a bullpen game, so Andriese could still figure prominently. The idea is that since it is in a National League park, the bullpen game will allow the Rays to be aggressive with pinch-hitting in opportune spots.

Andriese allowed two unearned runs on six hits, walking one and striking out five over 5.2 innings of a 7-5 win against the White Sox on Friday night.
The Rays rotation has been decimated by injuries so this was a much-needed boost. Andriese (1-1, 3.76 ERA) will likely keep a spot in the rotation until the team's staff gets healthy, and he may be an option to continue taking a regular turn if he can provide quality innings, but he has limited upside.

Andriese has been recalled from Triple-A Durham and will start Friday's game against the White Sox.
Andriese threw 88 pitches at Durham last Saturday and was scheduled to start Thursday, so he should be decently rested and stretched out enough to take on Chicago. He hasn't been inspiring in 2015 (4.79 ERA), but the Rays are getting desperately thin in the rotation.

Andriese has been optioned to Triple-A Durham, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
With Jake McGee being activated off the disabled list, the Rays decided to send Andriese down to Triple-A Durham. Andriese picked up a rare four-inning save against the Yankees on Thursday, his second of the season.
