Andriese was optioned to Triple-A Durham on Sunday, Steve Carney of WDAE 620 AM reports. Despite tossing a six-inning, one-hit gem against the Red Sox on Saturday, Andriese will head back to the minors with the Rays expected to get Matt Moore (elbow) back from the DL during the coming week. Though the right-handed Andriese hasn't been dominant by any means, he's been a godsend for a Rays rotation that has been ravaged by injury over the first three months of the season. In 11 appearances (six starts), Andriese has provided a 3.24 ERA, 1.15 WHIP, and 27:7 K:BB ratio over 41.2 innings. He should be the Rays' top choice in the event another starting vacancy comes about.
