Stroman pitched nine innings of two-run ball Saturday, but got a tough-luck no-decision despite only giving up only four hits and three walks over the nine frames against the Tigers. The three walks tied a season high, and he only struck out four, but it was perhaps his most impressive start of the season. He became the first Blue Jays rookie to pitch nine innings since 2005. After a rough start where he only went three innings against the Astros his last time out, Stroman returned to the form that allowed him to post a 1.71 ERA in July. He'll take the ball again Friday on the road against the White Sox.

Marcus Stroman improved to 7-2, allowing one run over seven innings as the Blue Jays hung on to victory against the Red Sox on Tuesday. The 23-year-old Stroman has quickly shown that he belongs in the big leagues. He held the Red Sox to six hits and two walks while striking out eight. Since moving into the rotation at the end of May, the right-hander has a 2.12 ERA in 11 starts spanning 68 innings. The talented rookie will look to keep it going on Monday, when he takes on the Astros in a road start.

Marcus Stroman allowed just one hit over seven innings and combined with two relievers on an 8-0 shutout the Red Sox on Thursday. Showing once again how huge momentum is in baseball, the Jays ended up winning three straight over Boston after getting crushed 14-1 in Monday's season opener. The Red Sox's lone hit today was Shane Victorino's flare single in the seventh. However, even if that didn't drop in, it's unlikely Stroman would have had a chance to go for the no-no; he was at 97 pitches after seven innings and the Jays are being careful with him. The rookie is now 6-2 with a 3.21 ERA.

Marcus Stroman fired seven scoreless innings in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Rangers. Stroman limited the Rangers to just four hits (all of them singles) while walking none and striking out five. He was very efficient, throwing 70 out of 107 for strikes. The 23-year-old owns a 3.58 ERA and 52/13 K/BB ratio over his first 60 1/3 innings in the majors and has serious upside potential during the second half. He's still available in 77 percent of Yahoo leagues.

Marcus Stroman was knocked around by the Angels on Wednesday, allowing six runs -- five earned -- on eight hits over 3 2/3 innings in a no-decision.Seven of the eight hits were singles, with Kole Calhoun's two-run home run the only extra-base hit of the bunch. The right-hander also walked one while striking out four. Stroman was coming off a string of good starts, so Wednesday's outing was simply a misstep for the 23-year-old. He'll carry a 4.05 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 47/13 K/BB ratio into the season's second half.

Marcus Stroman pitched well in a no-decision against the White Sox on Saturday, allowing two runs on two hits over 6 2/3 strong innings of work. The young right-hander racked up six strikeouts on the afternoon while walking just two. He left with two men aboard and two outs in the seventh inning, and reliever Dustin McGowan surrendered a three-run blast to Dayan Viciedo which caused the damage. He'll look to get back in the win column when he carries a 4.01 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 36/9 K/BB ratio into Friday's start against the Athletics in Oakland.

Marcus Stroman pitched eight innings of one-run ball, allowing just three hits, to beat the Yankees on Monday. Stroman lasted just 3 2/3 innings facing the Yankees last week. Tonight, he eclipsed his previous season high by a full two innings. He retired eight straight to open the game and allowed just one extra-base hit, that being Mark Teixeira's solo shot in the fourth. It was his most encouraging performance yet. He'll be worth playing in mixed leagues against the White Sox this weekend.
