Stroman (5-1) allowed one run on three hits and two walks while striking out three over 7.2 innings to earn the win Sunday at the Twins.
EDGE Analysis
Stroman was provided a three-run lead in the first inning, and he had a little trouble keeping the Twins' bats silent. He's now allowed two or fewer earned runs in four of his last five starts, and he has a 3.89 ERA to go along with a 1.17 WHIP. He'll make his next start Saturday against the Red Sox.

Despite suffering his first loss in 16 start, Stroman is not concerned about his performance, or that of the struggling Jays, MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Known for his ability to induce ground balls -- Stroman's 62.3 percent ground-ball rate entering the night was tops among pitchers in the American League -- it was that same strength which bit the recent Duke university graduate on Tuesday. While Stroman did get nine ground-ball outs, he also gave up a majority of his hits on hard hit ground balls and low line drives, and he saw his eleven game unbeaten streak at home come to an end. "That's part of the game, that's baseball," Stroman said about the frustration of the Rays' hitters finding gaps. "You really have to put it in perspective and know that, and do everything you can to wash the start whether it be good or bad, and focus the next four days preparing for the next one. I realize I'm going to have days like that. I never get discouraged regardless of the outing and never take my starts into the next one."

Stroman (4-1) allowed seven runs on 13 hits and two walks with two strikeouts in 5.2 innings in a loss Tuesday against Tampa Bay.
EDGE Analysis
Stroman's nine-game winning streak finally ended, thanks to five extra-base hits by the Rays (four doubles and a triple). The Rays were hitting an American League worst .228 entering this game and hitters had just a .220 average against Stroman entering this game. The blowup raised Stroman's ERA to 4.23. He has four starts of at least seven innings and two earned runs allowed or fewer in nine appearances this year, but he just hasn't found the consistency yet.

Stroman's current nine-game winning streak is the longest by a Toronto pitcher since Roy Halladay won 15 consecutive decisions in 2003, the Toronto Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wednesday's late-inning rally against the Giants got Stroman off the hook for the loss and kept his winning streak going at 9-0. Stroman was last tagged with a loss in a game on September 20, 2014. The streak includes one game in 2014, his four late-season starts in 2015 and his four wins so far this year. Widely considered one of the best young pitchers in the game, Stroman makes a great addition in all formats, especially for dynasty leagues.

Stroman (4-0) allowed four runs (two earned), walked two batters, and stuck out five while taking a no-decision in Wednesday's 5-4 loss to the Giants in 13 innings.
EDGE Analysis
The righty has looked strong to start the season, and Wednesday was no different. Two of the runs the Giants got off of him were not his fault, as shortstop Troy Tulowitzki committed an error. With just two earned runs in the game, he lowed his ERA to 3.54.

Stroman allowed two runs on eight hits, walking two and striking out eight over seven innings, but was left with a no-decision in the Jays' 5-2 win over the Dodgers on Friday night.
EDGE Analysis
Stroman (4-0) was masterful through six innings, mixing in a variety of crisp breaking pitches with his moving fastball, before tiring a bit and allowing a pair of runs in the seventh inning. He hasn't lost a game since September, 2014 (he made just four starts last year) and has flashed glimpses of the potential he offers early this season despite a seemingly pedestrian 3.60 ERA. It should be noted that the struggling Toronto bullpen has allowed eight inherited Stroman runners to come around and score, significantly inflating his ERA. He'll face off against the Giants in San Francisco next time out.

Stroman (4-0) allowed one run on three hits and two walks while striking out nine over eight innings to earn the win Sunday at the Rays,
EDGE Analysis
Stroman gave up a solo homer to Evan Longoria and left with the game tied at one after eight innings before the offense picked him up by scoring four runs in the ninth. Not only was the single run he allowed the fewest he'd given up in any start this year, but he also posted a season-high nine strikeouts. Despite a solid 3.77 ERA, he has an exceptional 0.95 WHIP. He'll make his next start Friday against the Dodgers.

Stroman allowed four runs in 6.2 innings in a no-decision on Monday against the White Sox. He allowed six hits, walked two, and struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
Stroman has been able to give the Jays good length in his starts this year, but has an unexceptional 4.37 ERA through five starts. The righty has a strong WHIP despite the inflated ERA, but his strikeouts have been way down to start the season. He'll make his next start Sunday against the Rays.

Stroman's next start has been pushed back to Monday against the White Sox, as Drew Hutchison will get a spot start Sunday against the A's, John Hickey of Bay Area News reports.
EDGE Analysis
The move to get Hutchison a start was made in order to try to manage Stroman's innings, and Aaron Sanchez's innings. With that in mind, it would not be surprising if the Blue Jays employ this tactic several other times over the next couple months, especially if Hutchison is up to the task.

Stroman (3-0) pitched seven innings, allowing three runs, six hits and one walk while striking out three in Tuesday's 4-3 victory against the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander has now won eight straight decisions and 11 of 12 dating back to 2014. Stroman has yet to throw a dominant game, and the low strikeouts= total is not what most owners paid for on draft day. With all the hype around Jays' Ace, it's easy to forget that he missed practically the entire season last year and has logged less than 30 starts in his young career. As the year moves forward, expect Stroman to shed some rust and begin putting up the counting stats owners are hoping for.
