Stroman (6-4) allowed four runs on seven hits and four walks while striking out four over five innings to take the loss Sunday against the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Stroman gave up a pair of runs in both the third and fifth innings, and the Blue Jays' offense was unable to give him much run support against Chris Sale. He's now allowed at least four runs in five of his last six starts to raise his ERA to 5.33. He'll make his next start Friday against the Indians.

If Stroman cannot turn around his season soon, the team will considering sending him to Triple-A Buffalo to sort things out, the Toronto Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
In his past seven starts, Stroman has an unacceptable ERA of 7.59. Opponents are hitting a lusty .353 with an on-base percentage of .400. He has a big start coming up Sunday in Chicago and, if he delivers more of the same, then the Jays will no doubt have to consider giving Stroman some time at Buffalo to work on his game.

Stroman (6-3) got chased early in Sunday's loss to the Orioles, allowing seven runs on 10 hits in 3.2 innings. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
He's now failed to last longer than 5.2 innings in five of his last seven starts, and Stroman's 5.23 ERA can't be written off as mere bad luck given his weak 67:27 K:BB in 96.1 innings on the season. The Blue Jays a couple of days off this coming week, affording him some extra rest before he faces the White Sox on the road next Sunday.

Stroman (6-2) allowed two runs on six hits and one walk while striking out six over seven innings to earn the win Tuesday against the Phillies.
EDGE Analysis
Stroman was staked to a nine-run lead in the third inning, and held the Phillies off the board until the sixth inning before leaving the contest after throwing 100 pitches. This was only his second quality start in his last seven appearances, and his ERA is at 4.76. He'll make his next start Sunday at the Orioles.

Stroman continued struggling Thursday, giving up four runs on eight hits over 5.1 innings against Baltimore. He struck out just two and walked one.
EDGE Analysis
The third-year man has now given up a brutal 17 runs (all earned) on 28 hits with an 11:7 K:BB in 16.1 innings spanning his last three starts. That's not the full extent of his struggles, either -- he's given up four or more runs in six of his last nine outings. The good news is that Stroman continues to do a great job keeping the ball on the ground and his poor strand-rate luck won't persist, but he needs to help his own cause by finding a way to fool more hitters. His fastball, cutter and change have all graded out negatively this year, and no pitcher can get by on breaking balls alone. That said, Stroman's a terrific talent who has the ability to adjust and pull out of this tailspin. His next start comes against the light-hitting Phillies on Tuesday, which should help.

Stroman is planning to make adjustments to make sure his struggles don't linger much longer, MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Stroman has surrendered at least six runs in three of his past four starts, and his ERA has jumped from 3.54 on May 11 to 4.82 following Saturday's loss to the Red Sox. Stroman did not get into specifics when asked about what those adjustments will be. Instead, he mentioned that over the next few days, he will be watching video of his recent starts and comparing it to when he was throwing well earlier in the year and previously in his career. Owners certainly hope Stroman can find something to improve and pay dividends on his draft-day price tag. More specifically, those who invested in Stroman would like to see his 6.16 K/9 look more like the 7.65 rate he was tossing in 2014 when he broke into the league.

Stroman (5-2) gave up nine hits, six earned runs and five walks over 5.2 innings in Saturday's 6-4 loss to the Red Sox. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
The 25-year-old saw the Red Sox get the better of him for the second time in a week, and he surrendered a total of 13 earned runs over 11 innings over those two starts. Control was a considerable problem for Stroman on Saturday, as the five free passes he issued were a season high. The few bright spots that the right-hander could take from the appearance would include the fact that he didn't surrender any homers after giving up a pair last Saturday, and that he induced 11 swinging strikes. However, his ERA has ballooned almost a full run to 4.82 after his two meetings with Boston, and he's now lost two of his last three decisions. He'll try his luck against the Orioles next Thursday.

Stroman will pitch in Saturday's matchup against the Red Sox, Ben Nicholson-Smith of sportsnet.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
Stroman was originally scheduled to throw Friday, but he has since been bumped back a day. R.A Dickey will move form Saturday to Friday. It is unclear what caused the Blue Jays to make this switch, but Stroman will now matchup against the Red Sox's Steven Wright instead of David Price.

Stroman is 4-0 with a 2.45 ERA and a .194 batting average against in road games this season. However, he's 1-1 with a 6.39 ERA and .303 BAA.
EDGE Analysis
Saying Stroman struggles at home is jumping the gun a bit. He's made six starts at home, and two of those have come against the Red Sox, MLB's best offensive team. They lit Stroman up for 12 runs on 17 hits in 10.2 innings. With that said, there are certainly some red flags when looking at his peripherals. For example, Stroman's strike-out rate is down and his walk rate is up. He's allowing 0.72 HR/9 and stranding just 6.4 percent of runners (both are worse than his career averages, although the home run rate is still good). Owners shouldn't hit the red panic button just yet, though. Stroman is only 25 years old, and is adjusting to the journey of being the ace of a staff expected to make 30-plus starts (he entered the season with just 24 career starts). The young right-hander has too much potential for owners to make a rash decision and sell low this early in the season.

Stroman didn't factor into the decision in Saturday's 10-9 victory over the Red Sox, but was hit hard. He surrendered 11 hits, seven earned runs and a walk over 5.1 innings. He struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
The young right-hander pitched to plenty of contact, and was touched up for homers by Xander Bogaerts and Travis Shaw for homers in the fourth and sixth inning, respectively. Stroman hadn't given up a gopher ball since April 19 versus the White Sox, but it was the second time in the last three starts that he did give up seven earned runs. He'll try to get a measure of revenge against this same Red Sox squad in Fenway next Friday.
