Stroman allowed two runs on eight hits, walking two and striking out eight over seven innings, but was left with a no-decision in the Jays' 5-2 win over the Dodgers on Friday night.
EDGE Analysis
Stroman (4-0) was masterful through six innings, mixing in a variety of crisp breaking pitches with his moving fastball, before tiring a bit and allowing a pair of runs in the seventh inning. He hasn't lost a game since September, 2014 (he made just four starts last year) and has flashed glimpses of the potential he offers early this season despite a seemingly pedestrian 3.60 ERA. It should be noted that the struggling Toronto bullpen has allowed eight inherited Stroman runners to come around and score, significantly inflating his ERA. He'll face off against the Giants in San Francisco next time out.
