Gausman has been recalled from Triple-A Norfolk. As expected, Gausman will come up to start Thursday's contest against the Rangers. He's worked mostly out of the bullpen this season, posting a 4.24 ERA with a 1.23 WHIP and 14:6 K:BB in 17.0 cumulative innings. The Orioles optioned Tyler Wilson to Norfolk to clear a roster spot.

Gausman is expected to be recalled by the Orioles to start Thursday's game against the Rangers, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports. Gausman was bypassed for a start during either of Sunday's doubleheader games against the Indians, with manager Buck Showalter opting to give the ball to Ubaldo Jimenez and Chris Tillman for those contests. However, it doesn't appear Gausman will have to wait long before getting an opportunity with the big club, as he's expected to pitch an abbreviated outing Sunday with Norfolk in preparation for Thursday's turn with Baltimore. The hard-throwing Gausman possesses as much potential as any pitcher on the Orioles' staff, but had yet to break through while working mostly in a relief role earlier this season. He's posted a 4.24 ERA, 1.23 WHIP, and 14:6 K:BB ratio over 17 innings with the O's.

Gausman will not be recalled from Triple-A to start the second game of Sunday's double-header, Eduardo Encina of the Baltimore Sun reports. Gausman was initially expected to be the 26th man for the Orioles on Sunday for their double-header and was even scratched from his scheduled start Friday at Triple-A. However, the Orioles will keep Gausman at Triple-A for the time being and start Ubaldo Jimenez and Chris Tillman in Sunday's double header.

Gausman will start one game of Sunday's double-header against Cleveland, Roch Kubatko of MASN reports. Gausman was scratched from his start Friday at Triple-A Norfolk in anticipation that Saturday's game would be postponed, leading to a double-header on Sunday. He'll be the 26th man on the roster Sunday but will be sent back down following his start.

Gausman was scratched from his start at Triple-A Norfolk on Friday in the event the Orioles need a spot starter for a potential double-header on Sunday, Eduardo Encina of the Baltimore Sun reports. The forecast calls for persistent rain and thunderstorms all day Saturday in Baltimore, which may very well result in a rainout. If the Orioles and Indians play a double-header on Sunday, Gausman will be rested and ready in the event he gets called up for a spot start.

Gausman was optioned to Triple-A Norfolk on Sunday. Gausman seemingly pitched well enough to remain in the rotation Sunday, tossing five innings of two-run ball. That won't be the case, however, as the Orioles will use his roster spot to recall right-handed reliever Oliver Drake. Should the need for another spot start arrive, Gausman would be one of the first names called.

Gausman was solid in his first start of the season Saturday, allowing two runs on four hits and a walk over five innings, striking out one. As per usual for Gausman he wasn't particularly efficient, needing 91 pitches (58 strikes) to get through five innings, and he ended up with a no-decision in a game the O's won in the ninth inning. It was a good enough performance to keep him in the rotation though, so look for him to take the mound again on Friday, at home against the Indians.

Gausman has been activated from the 15-day disabled list and will start Saturday against the Blue Jays. Gausman draws a tough challenge in his first start of the season as he faces a red-hot Toronto offense. He'll be facing a predominantly right-handed batting order Saturday, but owners should still be cautious as this is his first major league start since last September.

Gausman (shoulder) will start Saturday's game against Toronto, Dan Connolly of The Baltimore Sun reports. Gausman has been on the disabled list since early-May, but has progressed through baseball activities and is nearing a return to the Orioles. While Gausman's upside is high, it may be best for owners to be cautious in his first start back as he will be facing the hot-hitting Blue Jays.

Gausman (shoulder) is an option to start Saturday's game for the Orioles, the Baltimore Sun's Eduardo Encina reports. Gausman said the possibility of him starting Saturday against the Blue Jays had been mentioned to him, and if he indeed takes the ball he estimated that he could give the team 80-85 pitches. Once Gausman gets into the Orioles' rotation this year, he may not relinquish the spot, and he has the upside of a true frontline starter so he is worth a stash in most formats.
