Gausman (2-3) took the loss in Game 6 of the World Series against the Dodgers on Friday, allowing three earned runs on three hits and two walks while striking out eight batters over six innings.
EDGE Analysis
Gausman appeared to be on his way toward a historic performance after two innings, using his splitter to record five swinging strikeouts against the first six batters he faced. His fortunes shifted quickly in the third, however, as an RBI double from Will Smith began the scoring for Los Angeles, and Mookie Betts' two-RBI single extended the Dodgers' lead to 3-0. Gausman didn't allow another batter to reach base for the remainder of his start, but with Toronto's offense unable to get going against Yoshinobu Yamamoto, three runs proved to be all the Dodgers needed to force a Game 7. It's unlikely that Gausman will be available to pitch in Saturday's finale, so he'll finish the 2025 postseason with a 2.93 ERA and 0.91 WHIP to go with a 26:11 K:BB across 30.2 innings.

Gausman (2-2) took the loss against the Dodgers on Saturday in Game 2 of the World Series, allowing three runs on four hits and no walks while striking out six batters over 6.2 innings.
EDGE Analysis
Gausman gave up a run on a pair of two-out hits in the first inning, then settled in to retire 17 straight batters. That streak was broken when Will Smith tagged him for a solo homer in the seventh inning, and Max Muncy followed suit with his own solo blast two batters later. That spelled the end of Gausman's outing, and he ended up with the loss as Dodgers starter Yoshinobu Yamamoto spun a one-run, complete-game gem. Gausman did log his longest career postseason outing and was efficient in throwing 59 of 82 pitches for strikes while registering a quality start. He figures to start again in Game 6 if the series goes that long.

Gausman allowed one earned run on three hits and three walks while striking out four batters across 5.2 innings during Game 5 of the ALCS against the Mariners on Friday. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Gausman gave up a solo home run to Eugenio Suarez in the second inning, but the 34-year-old otherwise did a nice job to minimize the Mariners' threats and left the game with Toronto ahead 2-1 in the sixth. Toronto's bullpen later gave up the lead in the eighth, which forced Gausman to settle for a no-decision. The veteran righty now owns an impressive 2.12 ERA and 0.94 WHIP through 17 innings in the postseason and may be available to pitch out of the bullpen in Game 7, if necessary.

Gausman will start against the Mariners in Game 5 of the ALCS on Friday, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gausman was able to record 17 outs in Game 1 before allowing Seattle to score a run and ended up given up two runs over 5.2 innings. Now sporting a 2.38 ERA through 11.1 frames in the postseason, he'll potentially be tasked with ensuring the series returns to Toronto.

Gausman was tagged with a loss after he pitched 5.2 innings, allowing two runs on three hits and one walk while striking out five batters in Sunday's 3-1 defeat to the Mariners in Game 1 of the ALCS.
EDGE Analysis
Gausman was able to blank Seattle through 5.2 innings before Cal Raleigh launched a solo homer off the right-hander, ultimately knocking him off track. Gausman walked Julio Rodriguez, who was the following batter, and was then removed from the game. Rodriguez would later come around to score on a single from Jorge Polanco, accounting for the final tally on starting pitcher's line. Gausman will look to get another crack at the Mariners' lineup later in the series.

Gausman will start Sunday against the Mariners in Game 1 of the ALCS, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gausman was brilliant on the mound in his first appearance of the postseason, tossing 5.2 innings of one-run ball against the Yankees in Game 1 of the ALDS. His strong performance will now earn him the right to open Toronto's upcoming series against the Mariners, who put up three runs on Gausman over 5.1 frames in the regular season.

Gausman picked up the win against the Yankees on Saturday, allowing one earned run on four hits and two walks while striking out three batters across 5.2 innings.
EDGE Analysis
Gausman had allowed just two men to reach base over the first five innings before loading the bases with nobody out in the sixth. He then struck out Aaron Judge, walked Cody Bellinger to bring home the Yankees' lone run of the evening and drew a pop out before turning the game over to Louis Varland to secure the final out of the frame. Gausman will likely be available to make his next start Friday in Game 5 if the series gets to that point.

Blue Jays manager John Schneider said Friday that Gausman will start Saturday in Game 1 of the ALDS against the Yankees, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gausman started the team's regular-season finale Sunday and will come back on five days' rest to take the ball in the Blue Jays' first postseason contest. The right-hander held a 3.59 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 189:50 K:BB over 193 innings this season, and he was particularly good in the second half with a 2.81 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 85:16 K:BB across 83.1 frames. The Yankees have yet to announce their Game 1 starter, but it could be Luis Gil after he was left off the wild-card roster.

Gausman did not factor into the decision Sunday against the Rays, allowing four runs on eight hits and two walks across 3.2 innings. He struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
It was a rocky finish to the regular season for Gausman, who allowed eight runs on 17 hits across 9.1 innings in his last two outings -- he had given up just three runs over 30 innings in his previous four outings. The 34-year-old Gausman will wrap up the campaign at 10-11 with a 3.59 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 189 strikeouts across 32 starts (193 innings).

Gausman (11-10) took the loss Tuesday, giving up four runs on nine hits and a walk over 5.2 innings as the Blue Jays fell 4-1 to the Red Sox. He struck out seven.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran righty held Boston to one run through five innings before fading in the sixth, giving up three straight one-out hits before a final Carlos Narvaez double knocked him from the game. It's the first time since Aug. 18 that Gausman has failed to complete six innings, and just the second time in his last nine starts that he's allowed more than two runs -- a stretch in which he's produced a 2.37 ERA, 0.89 WHIP and 57:11 K:BB over 60.2 innings. With the Jays trying to hold onto the AL East lead over a surging Yankees squad, Gausman could be needed for one more start in the regular season, at home the final day of the schedule against the Rays.
