Lagares hot September continued Saturday, as he went 3-for-4 with a run scored in the Mets' 10-3 loss to the Nationals. Lagares is 17-for-49 with seven runs scored and seven stolen bases in the month. In addition, he has a solid 5:3 K:BB ratio for the month. Lagares is securely in place as the team's starting center fielder and seems to be figuring it out at the plate, though his defense is really what keeps him in the lineup.

Lagares went 1-for-3 with two walks and three stolen bases in Sunday's win over Cincinnati. The shift to the top of the order has benefited Lagares and his fantasy owners alike. His batting average now stands at .282 for the season, and he's logged eight of his 12 stolen bases over his last nine games alone.

Lagares had a career-high four base hits and stole a pair of bases in the Mets' 8-6 win over the Marlins on Tuesday. The Mets want Lagares to be more aggressive on the basepaths and it has paid off, as Lagares has five stolen bases his last five games. In addition, Lagares is hitting .381 his past 11 games,

The Mets are giving Lagares must-steal signs in an effort to make him more aggressive on the bases, ESPN New York reports. Lagares gets such good jumps in the outfield and has such a quick first step, New York wants to force him to use those skills on the basepaths. While this likely will result in a higher caught stealing number, fantasy owners may get the benefit of additional stolen bases from Lagares.

Lagares went 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBI in Tuesday's win over the Braves. In addition to providing the go-ahead two-run homer in the fourth inning, Lagares showcased his typically sublime defense by recording seven putouts, a couple of which were of the highlight-reel variety. His defensive talents and capable contact skills make Lagares a quality real-life outfielder, but his limited pop and speed marginalize his value in the fantasy realm.

Lagares went 2-for-4 at the plate Saturday, including hitting his first home run since May 17. Lagares started the month hot, but struggled the past 10 days before Friday, where he had two hits. He followed that up with a solid game Saturday and should be in the lineup close to daily the balance of the season. Lagares needs to do a better job of limiting his strikeouts and increasing his plate discipline, seen by his poor 96:20 K:BB ratio in 392 at-bats.

Lagares is out of the lineup Wednesday against the Athletics, ESPNNewYork.com's Adam Rubin reports. Lagares will just receive a day off after starting 23 games in a row. Matt den Dekker will man center field in his place.

Lagares went 2-for-3 with a pair of runs batted in during the Mets' 7-6 loss to the Phillies on Sunday. Lagares is 12-for-36 with four runs batted during August, continuing his hot play from the latter part of July. He had a rough patch during last month, but rebounded after a day off, which seemed to revive his bat. Lagares should be in the lineup just about daily in center field.

Lagares went 3-for-4 in the Mets' 4-3 loss to the Giants on Monday.

Juan Lagares singled twice in four trips to the plate in Wednesday's loss to the Braves. Lagares continues to swing the bat well, having hit safely in six of seven starts since being activated from the disabled list. The outfielder is slashing .294/.332/.411 with two home runs and 18 RBI in 196 plate appearances this season.
