Lagares (muscle strain) is back in the lineup Monday against the Phillies, Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reports.
Lagares was a late scratch from Sunday's lineup due to muscle tightness, but will return to his regular role Monday, playing center field and batting second in the order. He's likely avoided any risk of a DL stint, but it wouldn't be surprising to see manager Terry Collins award Lagares regular maintenance days until he is 100 percent.

Lagares has been scratched from Sunday's starting lineup, Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reports.
Lagares had been dealing with the same muscle soreness that gave him trouble just over a week ago, and Met's writers had given fair warning that this was a possibility. Consider the speedy center fielder day-to-day heading into Monday's series opener with the Phillies. Darrell Ceciliani will take over in center field Sunday afternoon, while Wilmer Flores moves up to the two-spot in the batting order.

Lagares (muscle strain) is at risk of being scratched from Sunday's lineup, Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reports.
Lagares dealt with this same strain earlier last week, which ultimately forced him out for a three-game stretch. He's started the last nine games, however, and is currently in Sunday's lineup, but that appears subject to change. It's certainly a situation worth monitoring in leagues with daily lineup switches.

Lagares (muscle strain), who missed the final three games of the Mets' series against the Cubs, is in the lineup Friday as expected, ESPN New York's Adam Rubin reports.
Lagares may not be fully healed but he is well enough to start in center field and bat second. The Mets offense has struggled lately, so Lagares will be counted on to help get on-base and produce at the top part of the lineup.

Lagares (muscle strain) will return to the lineup Friday, ESPN New York's Adam Rubin reports.
Manager Terry Collins admitted that Lagares probably would not be 100 percent healthy, but having him out there will still improve the Mets' outfield. He missed three games with the injury and should return to being a middling outfield option in fantasy leagues.

Lagares (muscle strain) is out of the lineup Thursday for the third straight game.
Curtis Granderson gets the start in center field with lefty killer John Mayberry getting the start in right field. Lagares should be considered day-to-day as he continues to nurse the muscle strain under his right armpit.

Lagares (muscle strain) is out of the lineup Wednesday against the Cubs.
Manager Terry Collins had suggested a second day off was possible for Lagares, who has been nursing a slight muscle strain underneath his right armpit for close to a week now. He will indeed sit Wednesday as Kirk Nieuwenhuis again mans center field for the Mets, but Lagares' MRI was negative, so it doesn't seem as though he's in danger of missing extended action.

Lagares has a slight muscle strain underneath his right armpit, but an MRI revealed no structural damage, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.
Lagares is out of the lineup Tuesday and it sounds like he could sit Wednesday as well, with the team looking to turn the page on an issue that has bothered the center fielder since last week. Apparently, Lagares suffered the injury on a diving attempt in left-center field, but it doesn't seem as though he's in danger of missing extended time. Kirk Nieuwenhuis will man center field in Lagares' absence.

Lagares is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Cubs, Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reports.
Kirk Nieuwenhuis will take over in center field, as Lagares sits in the midst of a 2-for-25 slump. It marks Lagares' first day off this season. His Gold Glove defense should be enough to keep Lagares in the lineup on a near-everyday basis moving forward, though it's possible he could fall back down in the batting order.

Lagares hit a two-run bomb in the 3-2 win over the Phillies Saturday.
Lagares grabbed the Mets a late 3-2 lead in the seventh and it proved to be the winner. While Lagares is more known for his glove, he does have some surprising pop and has found a nice spot in the lineup at that two-hole spot.
