Josh Johnson allowed three runs (two earned) on four hits and five walks in six innings of Wednesday's loss to the Braves.
Johnson struck out seven as he fell to 8-14. His 14th loss comes in his fifth straight quality start, which is a good way to sum up the run support he's gotten this season. Tonight was just the fourth time in 31 outings Johnson issued more than three free passes, though he's handed out at least three walks in four straight walks. He'll close out 2012 against the Mets in Miami on Monday.

Josh Johnson allowed three runs on five hits in six innings of Wednesday's loss to the Braves.
Johnson struck out five and walked three in falling to 8-13. Johnson has now been quality in all four of his September starts, lowering his ERA from 4.00 to 3.84. Quietly dominant since the All-Star break, Johnson figures to be a value pick in 2013 fantasy drafts.

Josh Johnson gave up two runs and four hits over seven innings in defeating the Brewers on Thursday.
It was Johnson's first win since Aug. 3, though he had turned in four quality starts in five tries since. The six runs the Marlins scored today was their high output in a Johnson start in two months, so it shouldn't come as much surprise that he has only an 8-11 record to go along with his 3.81 ERA.

Josh Johnson was outstanding in a no-decision against the Mets on Saturday, surrendering just one run on three hits over eight strong innings.
Johnson struck out four and walked two, and the only real blemish in the outing was an RBI groundout by Josh Thole in the fifth inning. It was a nice bounceback effort from Johnson, who was pounded by the Dodgers his last time out. He'll head into Wednesday's home start against the Brewers with a 7-11 record, 3.86 ERA and 140/51 K/BB ratio over 165 1/3 innings.

Josh Johnson surrendered six runs in three innings Saturday in a loss to the Dodgers.
Johnson was tagged for 10 hits, two of them homers, in his worst start in months. He hadn't allowed more than five runs or gone fewer than five innings in an outing since May 4. Next weekend's start against the Mets should be better.

Josh Johnson allowed three runs on seven hits and four walks in seven innings Sunday, falling to 7-10 in Miami's 3-2 setback in Colorado.
Johnson struck out four, and served up a two-run bomb to the light-hitting Jordan Pacheco. Nevertheless, the quality start was his fourth straight, and fifth in five outings. Johnson will bring a 3.73 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 133/48 K/BB ratio into his weekend start in Los Angeles.

Josh Johnson turned in an impressive outing in Tuesday's loss to the Phillies, surrendering only one run on three hits over eight strong innings.
Johnson punched out seven while walking one in the game. Jimmy Rollins started off the game with a solo blast, but that would account for the entirety of the scoring for both clubs. With the tough-luck loss, Johnson falls to 7-9 on the season, though he sports a respectable 3.73 ERA and 129/44 K/BB ratio through 147 1/3 innings. He'll attempt to get back in the win column when he takes on the Rockies in Colorado on Sunday.

Jon Paul Morosi of FOX Sports reports that the Blue Jays are "unlikely" to trade for Marlins right-hander Josh Johnson.
It's no surprise, as ESPN's Jayson Stark reported earlier in the day Monday that the Marlins have told interested clubs that they are planning on keeping the 28-year-old right-hander. The Blue Jays were interested in Johnson because he's under team control next season, but Miami's asking price is reportedly through the roof.
