Josh Johnson (triceps) allowed six runs on eight hits and three walks over just 4 2/3 frames in a rehab start with Triple-A Buffalo Thursday.
He struck out three. The rehab outing was supposed to be his last, but it's possible the Blue Jays will change their minds given the result. However, as long as Johnson feels healthy, it's a good bet that he'll return next week.

Josh Johnson (triceps) struck out three over four scoreless innings in a rehab start for Triple-A Buffalo on Saturday.
Johnson is looking good and, more importantly, feeling healthy, but he'll need one more rehab start before rejoining the Blue Jays' rotation. He held a 6.86 ERA and 1.88 WHIP in four starts before getting injury but is a good DL stash if he's been dropped in your league.

Josh Johnson (triceps) will make at least two more rehab starts.
Johnson struck out five over three innings of one-run ball on Monday with High-A Dunedin. He's feeling good physically, but the right-hander obviously needs to build up his stamina. He'll rejoin the rotation in early June if he can avoid a setback.

Josh Johnson allowed one run over three innings Monday in his first minor league rehab start with High-A Dunedin.
It was Johnson's first game action since April 21. He gave up three hits while striking out five and walking none. The Blue Jays want him to make at least one more rehab start, but he's on track to return in the early part of June.

Josh Johnson (triceps) is on track to make a rehab start on Monday or Tuesday.
Good news. Johnson hasn't pitched since April 21 due to right triceps inflammation, but he hasn't had any issues during his throwing program. The Blue Jays have yet to announce where he'll pitch initially and it's unclear how many starts he'll need before he's activated. Still, he's making progress.

Josh Johnson (triceps) has begun long-tossing in Florida.
Johnson is expected to throw one more long-toss session before getting back on a mound. If all goes well, he could begin a minor league rehab assignment sometime next week, though it all depends on how he feels as he builds up his workload. The 29-year-old has been sidelined since April 21 with right triceps inflammation.

Josh Johnson (triceps) is aiming to make a minor league rehab start around May 21.
Johnson landed on the disabled list last week due to right triceps inflammation, but an MRI came back negative and he's been cleared to begin a throwing progream. Blue Jays general manager Alex Anthopoulos expects that he will need two rehab starts before rejoining the big club, so fantasy owners shouldn't expect him back until the early part of June.

An MRI on Josh Johnson's triceps has come back negative.
Good news. Johnson will resume throwing on Thursday and is expected to need a couple rehab starts before rejoining the Blue Jays' rotation. Ricky Romero is occupying his spot in the rotation for now.

Josh Johnson (triceps) has traveled to Florida for further evaluation.
Johnson was originally expected to only miss one start, but the Blue Jays decided to place him on the disabled list after he felt discomfort while playing catch on Wednesday. We should know more about a timeline after he goes for more tests. Ricky Romero will replace him in the rotation, but he's a wait and see option in most fantasy leagues.
