Schoop (quad) will return to the lineup Monday, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
Schoop was scratched from Sunday's lineup with a sore left quad, but it appears it's no longer an issue. The 23-year-old, who is 4-for-14 so far on the young season, is penciled in to bat seventh and man the second base duties.

Schoop has been scratched from Sunday's lineup, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
Schoop will be replaced by Ryan Flaherty at the keystone, with no concrete reason having been provided for the switch. It will be the second start of the season at second base for Flaherty, who hit .221/.288/.356 in 2014.

Schoop went 2-for-4 with his first home run of the season Friday against the Blue Jays.
Schoop only started two of the first three games of the season when the Orioles decided to reward Ryan Flaherty with playing time. It seems as though Schoop may have to earn his playing time this season. So far, he is outperforming Flaherty by going 3-for-10, while the home run is his only extra-base hit.

Schoop is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game in Tampa Bay, MASN's Roch Kubatko reports.
Everth Cabrera is starting at shortstop, with Ryan Flaherty manning the keystone. It's no secret that Schoop could lose his job as the primary second baseman, and it isn't a great sign that he's out of the lineup for the second game of the season, even though J.J. Hardy (elbow) is unavailable. With Hardy on track to make his 2015 debut Saturday against Toronto, Schoop could feel even more pressure from Flaherty and Cabrera.

Schoop has collected six hits in five games since returning from surgery to remove his wisdom teeth last week.
For the spring, he's hitting .278 with a pair of homers and 11 RBI, but Schoop is still showing a very limited desire to draw walks (1:12 BB:K, .291 OBP), limiting the short-term upside of his combination of power and speed. With J.J. Hardy sidelined by a shoulder injury, Schoop should be safe as the O's primary second baseman to begin the season, but a healthy Hardy could free up Everth Cabrera to push Schoop for playing time at second base this season.

Schoop (mouth) hopes to play Friday, CSN Baltimore reports.
Schoop had two teeth removed Wednesday and did not make the trip with the team to Lakeland for Thursday's contests. However, he believes he'll be back in action soon. "I think I'll be able to [play] tomorrow. I have to get a workout in today, and I'm ready to go," Schoop said. The second baseman is hitting .243 this spring with two homers and six RBI.

Schoop will have his wisdom teeth removed Wednesday and could miss a day or two, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
Assuming no complications occur with the procedure, Schoop should be fine for Opening Day. He's expected to receive most of the starts at second base this season, though the offseason addition of Everth Cabrera may have loosened his grasp on the spot.

Schoop is 4-for-22 with a home run and two doubles through Sunday's spring training games.
Schoop has seven strikeouts this spring. He had a 41.3% o-swing in 2014, nearly 10 basis points above the league average. Schoop said he expected to steal more bases this season, but he has not attempted a steal this spring.

Schoop said he hopes to steal more bases in the 2015 season, according to MASN Sports.
Schoop has never been known for great speed and he said he was attempting to lose about 10-to-15 pounds in the offseason. He had lost just four as of late January. Even if Schoop can steal some more bases, double digit figures in the category would be a surprise after he stole two in his rookie year.

Schoop is out of the lineup for the third straight game Thursday against the Yankees, MASN Sports' Roch Kubatko reports.
The Orioles will continue to roll with Kelly Johnson at second base, as he's delivered five hits in his last nine at-bats. Johnson figures to see the majority of the at-bats at the keystone over the Orioles' final handful of regular season games, potentially leaving Schoop to fill a bench role during the postseason.
