Panik (concussion) is reportedly "as close to 100 percent as you can imagine", CSNGiants reports.
EDGE Analysis
Panik has been out of game action since June 27 dealing with concussion-like symptoms but is reportedly nearing 100 percent and could begin a rehab assignment this weekend. Giants GM Bobby Evans apparently wants Panik to get 15 plate appearances over four rehab games which, if he indeed begins as assignment this weekend, puts the second baseman in line to return against the Red Sox or Yankees next week. Before landing on the 7-day concussion list, the 25-year-old was beginning to hit hist stride, slashing .289/.344/.410 with 19 runs over his last 21 games.

Panik (concussion) continues to progress with his rehab, taking grounders Saturday, CSN Bay Area reports.
EDGE Analysis
Panik has already been ruled out for a return prior to the All-Star break, but if he isn't showing any symptoms of the concussion he suffered during a mid-June series with the Rays then he could potentially return shortly after the break.

Panik will not return before the All-Star break, Hank Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Although he's been making progress in his recovery recently, the extended time off next week will afford Panik additional time to recover. Ramiro Pena and Grant Green will continue to pick up extra at-bats in Panik's absence.

Panik (concussion) has resumed some light physical activity, Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
This is a positive sign, although manager Bruce Bochy did not specify which activities Panik has been cleared for exactly. Panik was placed on the 7-day concussion DL on Thursday, with his symptoms not emerging until more than a week after he was hit in the head by a pitch. A possible return timetable won't take shape until he adds more baseball-related activity to his regimen.

The symptoms reportedly emerged late Monday night. Panik will undergo more tests before the team makes a decision regarding a possible 7-day DL stint.
