Panik is not in the lineup for Tuesday's matchup with the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
With the Dodgers sending a left-hander starter to the bump for the second night in a row, Panik will head to the bench for the second straight evening. Ehire Adrianza will man the keystone in his place.

Panik is not in the lineup Monday against the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
The Giants are going with a righty-heavy lineup with Clayton Kershaw taking the ball for Los Angeles, so Panik will get the night off. Kelby Tomlinson will slot in at the keystone for the time being.

Panik was moved back into the bottom third of the batting order Sunday, going 0-for-3 with a walk in a loss to the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
Panik had spent the past three games batting second for the Giants after Denard Span got demoted from his leadoff position. Manager Bruce Bochy quickly nixed that plan after Panik went 1-for-10 and Span began to heat up. The second baseman loses some value with the swap, but he hasn't been generating much value on his own regardless of where he bats in the lineup.

Panik was moved up to second in the order Tuesday, going 0-for-5 in the win over St. Louis.
EDGE Analysis
The lineup shift didn't pay immediate dividends for the second baseman, but it was a move that was bound to be made with Denard Span struggling mightily atop the lineup and Panik slashing .283/.328/.453 over his previous 15 games. Assuming manager Bruce Bochy sticks with this lineup going forward, Panik is worthy of a pickup as his opportunities to produce counting stats should increase while batting second.

Panik is out of Tuesday's lineup against the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
Panik, who's gone 0-for-7 across the last two games, will give way to Kelby Tomlinson at second base Tuesday evening. Look for Panik to return to the lineup Wednesday when San Francisco faces the right-handed Luis Perdomo.

Panik went 3-for-5 with a pair of doubles, an RBI and a run scored in Saturday's win over Arizona.
EDGE Analysis
Panik joined the parade of hits the Giants put on against Archie Bradley and the Diamondbacks on Saturday. That is now back-to-back games with multiple hits for the second baseman. With Kelby Tomlinson added to the club when rosters expanded Sept. 1 Panik has been getting some days off against left-handed pitchers. A platoon would negatively affect his value down the stretch. On the flip side, he could potentially find himself back in the top third of the batting order if he continues to swing a hot bat due to Denard Span's recent struggles.

Panik is out of the lineup Wednesday against the Rockies.
EDGE Analysis
The Giants will try to flood the lineup with right-handed hitters against southpaw Jorge De La Rosa on Wednesday, giving Kelby Tomlinson the nod at the keystone. It's not so much that Panik can't handle lefties, but Tomlinson owns a .357 career average against southpaws, so the Giants will go with the platoon advantage Wednesday.

Panik is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Rockies, Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Panic really picked things up recently, boasting a .898 OPS over the past 14 games, but the Giants elected to give him the night off to rest up for the postseason push. Kelby Tomlinson will fill in for him at the keystone.

Panik went 3-for-4 with a pair of homers and four RBI in Sunday's win over Atlanta.
EDGE Analysis
It is safe to say Panik has found his power stroke after abusing Braves pitcher Aaron Blair to the tune of two home runs. He was struggling after returning from a concussion July 28, but ever since his three-hit game on Aug. 13 Panik is slashing .340/.448/.681 in 58 plate appearances. His overall numbers still aren't where they were during his rookie and sophomore campaigns, so there is a chance he is still available. Now is the time to pick Panik up if you need middle infield help.

Panik went 1-for-2 with a homer, two walks, two RBI and two runs against the Dodgers on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
He did this damage out of the eighth spot in the lineup, a slot in which he's delivered great productivity in a limited sample (.379/.500/.690 over 29 at-bats). Panik's attempt to build on the .300-plus batting average he posted over his first last two seasons has gone poorly this year, as he's hitting only .248, but he's been an on-base machine lately. The 25-year-old second baseman has hit safely in 12 of his last 13 games and walked nine times in that stretch, leading to a .451 OBP.
