Nova (5-4) allowed five runs on 10 hits, struck out five, and walked two over 5.0 innings in a loss to the Rockies on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander has won his last two appearances, but still allowed eight runs and three homers in 12.1 innings. Wednesday wasn't any different, as Nova allowed another homer and a season-high 10 hits. Nova hasn't yielded fewer than three runs in an outing since May 19. He will try to break that streak in his next start Tuesday versus the Rockies again.

Nove (5-3) pitched 6.1 innings, allowing three runs, six hits and a walk while striking out five in Thursday's victory over the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
For the fifth consecutive start, the 29-year-old Dominican gave the Yanks six-plus innings. Although he hasn't been great, Nova has done a fine job filling a hole in the team's rotation. He's giving manager Joe Girardi exactly what he's looking for - a quality arm who can get the Bombers to the seventh inning. He'll have a tough task in his next outing as he's scheduled to start Wednesday at hitter-friendly Coors Field.

Nova (4-3) grabbed the win Saturday, going six innings with six strikeouts while allowing five runs against the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
Nova was cruising along for a while, as all five runs of the damage were done in the seventh inning. The 29-year-old figures to keep his spot in the rotation for the foreseeable future, as Luis Severino was sent down to the minors earlier in the week. Nova's next start is slated to come Thursday against the Angels.

Nova (3-3) allowed four runs on eight hits and a walk with four strikeouts over six innings in a loss Monday against the Blue Jays.
EDGE Analysis
Nova had solid control but was punished for his mistakes in the zone, as he surrendered four doubles and a home run. He has given up six home runs in just five starts this year, continuing a problem he has had for his entire career (1.1 HR/9 in 668.2 innings). Nova's control has been elite -- he has issued just six walks in 43 innings -- but it won't matter if the strikes he throws continue to be so hittable.

Nova (3-2) threw 6.2 innings where he allowed four runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out eight in a loss Wednesday against the Blue Jays.
EDGE Analysis
The 29-year-old hurled his longest outing of the season, but it wasn't enough to lead New York to the win. Nova has moved between the bullpen and the rotation, and has a 2.74 ERA with a 1-1 record as a starter this year. He will face Toronto in his next start Monday.

Nova (3-1) pitched six quality innings, allowing just one run on four hits while not issuing a walk and striking out three in Thursday's win over the A's.
EDGE Analysis
Making his third start since taking over C.C. Sabathia's spot in the rotation, Nova needed just 62 pitches to win his second consecutive game. In his first start on May 9, Nova was pulled with a 5-1 lead after 4.2 innings. Had manager Joe Girardi let the big right-hander get one more out, Nova would be a perfect 3-0 in his first three starts. His pitch count will continue to be monitored as he adjusts back into a starting role after beginning the year in the bullpen.

Nova (2-1) surrendered four hits, an earned run and a walk over 5.2 innings in Saturday's 2-1 victory over the White Sox. He struck out two.
EDGE Analysis
The 29-year-old came through with a clutch performance against one of the AL's best teams, surrendering only one earned run for the second straight start. Nova has his ERA down to 3.70, and his WHIP at a respectable 1.19. The right-hander will try to keep his positive momentum going against the A's next Thursday.

Nova held the Royals to one run in 4.2 innings in his first start of 2016. He allowed six hits and walked one while striking out three.
EDGE Analysis
Nova was taking C.C. Sabathia's spot in the rotation, and made a strong impression by limiting the damage against him to just one run. The righty has had success as a starter in the past, but registered an unsightly 5.07 ERA a season ago. His next start will come Saturday against the White Sox.

Nova will start Monday's game against the Royals, the New York Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
With CC Sabathia (groin) heading to the disabled list, Nova will enter the starting rotation in his place. Manager Joe Girardi indicated the plan is to limit Nova's pitch count to about 75 on Monday, as he's been working as a reliever this year and thus not stretched out as a starter. The 29-year-old lost out on the competition for the final rotation spot in spring training, but he could work his way back into consideration with a strong audition in Sabathia's absence.

Nova allowed four runs on five hits in just one inning in Wednesday's loss to the Blue Jays.
EDGE Analysis
The Yankees entered the home half of the eighth inning down just a run, but the four-run outburst put the game out of reach. Nova could have a chance to slot into the rotation at some point with injuries or struggles from the current starters, but more outings like Wednesday's won't help his chances to continue seeing higher-leverage situations out of the bullpen.
