Nova will start Monday's game against the Royals, the New York Post reports.

With CC Sabathia (groin) heading to the disabled list, Nova will enter the starting rotation in his place. Manager Joe Girardi indicated the plan is to limit Nova's pitch count to about 75 on Monday, as he's been working as a reliever this year and thus not stretched out as a starter. The 29-year-old lost out on the competition for the final rotation spot in spring training, but he could work his way back into consideration with a strong audition in Sabathia's absence.
