Hyun-Jin Ryu allowed just one run over 6 1/3 innings Friday in a victory over the Padres. Ryu allowed eight hits tonight, but he walked just one. For the month of August, he walked a total of four batters in six starts. He has been allowing more singles and doubles as the year has gone on, but since the walks and homers have stayed away, he's remained quite effective.

Hyun-Jin Ryu gave up four earned runs in five innings Saturday as the Dodgers lost to the Red Sox. It was his worst outing since early July. The Red Sox got to Ryu early, tallying all four runs in the first inning -- three via a Jonny Gomes blast. Ryu should be able to bounce back next week against the Padres.

Hyun-Jin Ryu allowed one run on five scattered hits over seven innings Tuesday in the Dodgers' 4-2 victory over the Mets. He struck out three and walked one. The Dodgers are a ridiculous 22-3 since the All-Star break and haven't lost any of their last 16 series. Ryu, a Rookie of the Year candidate, improves to 12-3 with a 2.91 ERA and 1.23 WHIP.

Hyun-Jin Ryu allowed one run over seven innings and struck out seven Thursday in the Dodgers' 5-1 victory over the Cardinals. The Dodgers have won each of Ryu's last eight starts, with Ryu going 5-0 during the span. Still, if anything, he's lost ground in the Rookie of the Year race to Yasiel Puig and Jose Fernandez during the stretch. He's 11-3 with a 2.99 ERA.

Hyun-Jin Ryu allowed one run in seven innings and struck out nine to defeat the Reds on Saturday. A Jay Bruce solo shot was one of just two hits allowed by Ryu on the night. With his own teammate trying to overtake him, Ryu is hanging strong in the Rookie of the Year race. He's 9-3 with a 3.14 ERA that ranks 17th in the NL. Of course, he does still have Jose Fernandez and Shelby Miller ahead of him there.

Hyun-Jin Ryu yielded five runs on seven hits over five innings in a no-decision against the Diamondbacks on Wednesday. He struck out three and walked two. The poor outing snapped Ryu's streak of eight consecutive quality starts. Ryu has outperformed his peripherals all season and it's doubtful that he'll end the season with an ERA as shiny as its current incarnation. He heads into the All-Star break 7-3 with a 3.09 ERA and 1.25 WHIP.

Hyun-Jin Ryu yielded two runs in 6 2/3 innings in an easy win over the Giants on Friday. One night before Bruce Bochy has to turn in his All-Star ballot. Ryu certainly has a case to go with his 2.82 ERA in 111 2/3 innings to date. He's faced the Giants four times already and gone 1-2 with a 2.81 ERA.

Hyun-Jin Ryu cuffed the Giants to one run over 6 2/3 innings in the Dodgers' 3-1 victory Monday. It wasn't the rookie's best start, as he allowed eight hits and four walks, and struck out just two, in the no-decision. Still, the Korean import continues to roll, and has not allowed more than three runs in a start since early-May. Already a must-start fantasy hurler, Ryu boasts a 2.85 ERA and 81/31 K/BB ratio in 98 innings.

Looking strong in his return from a bruised foot, Hyun-Jin Ryu pitched 7 2/3 innings of one-run ball Friday in a no-decision against the Braves. It's the fifth straight start in which Rye has allowed two earned runs or fewer and the ninth time in 12 starts overall it's happened this year. He struck out six and walked one while lowering his ERA to 2.72 in this one.
