Hyun-Jin Ryu fanned three in his final Cactus League tune-up on Sunday, allowing a pair of runs on seven hits over 5 1/3 innings. Ryu will get the ball in the second game of the season against the Diamondbacks in Australia. The 26-year-old hurler is looking to build upon an impressive rookie campaign, and represents a nice value in the middle rounds of fantasy drafts.

Hyun-Jin Ryu was solid in five innings in Monday's start against the Athletics, allowing only one run. The only damage came on Michael Taylor's fifth-inning solo homer. Ryu allowed three hits overall and walked one while striking out four. He looks about ready to start the second game of the regular season in Australia.

Hyun-Jin Ryu allowed two runs on four hits in four innings in a 10-3 win over the Reds on Wednesday. Ryu gave up runs in the first and second innings but blanked the Reds over his final two. The left-hander also walked two while fanning three on the evening. With Zack Greinke ruled out for the two-game set in Australia on March 22, Ryu has a shot at making one of those season-opening starts. Either way, he'll be counted on heavily by the Dodgers this season.

Hyun-Jin Ryu twirled a pair of scoreless innings in Friday's victory over the White Sox in Cactus League action. The 26-year-old lefty allowed just a pair of hits on the afternoon. After winning 14 games with a 3.00 ERA in an impressive rookie campaign, he's reported to camp in even better shape this season and expects to be even stronger in 2014.

Hyun-Jin Ryu said this week that he's "significantly lighter" than he was at the beginning of spring training a season ago. He wouldn't put a number on the total amount of weight that he lost, but Dodgers president Stan Kasten echoed a similar sentiment a few weeks ago, noting that the hefty southpaw was in "noticeably better shape than he was last year." The 26-year-old burst onto the scene as a rookie in 2013, posting a 3.00 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 154/49 K/BB ratio over 192 innings. Now in better shape, he could be even better in his encore performance.

Dodgers president Stan Kasten said last week that Hyun-Jin Ryu is in "noticeably better shape than he was last year." Ryu made headlines last spring training for how poor his conditioning was. Of course, it didn't wind up affecting him during a nice rookie season, but it certainly won't hurt him showing up to camp in better shape this year. Ryu put up a 3.00 ERA over 30 starts last season.

Hyun-Jin Ryu came up big for the Dodgers Monday, going seven scoreless innings in a 3-0 victory over the Cardinals in Game 3 of the NLCS. Ryu had the Cards off balance all night, giving up just three singles and a walk while striking out four. The only threat they were able to pose came when they got back-to-back singles to start the fifth, but that was quickly thwarted with some bad baserunning that led to a double play. Ryu will get Game 7 in St. Louis, if there is one. Lance Lynn and Ricky Nolasco will square off in Game 4 Tuesday.

Hyun-Jin Ryu (back, elbow) said Sunday that he feels strong heading into his crucial start against the Cardinals in Game 3 of the NLCS on Monday night. Ryu struggled with his command while surrendering four runs over just three innings in his only start in the NLDS against the Braves. The rookie southpaw will need to step up in a big way on Monday, as falling into an 0-3 hole to the Cardinals could be insurmountable.

Hyun-Jin Ryu will start for the Dodgers in Game 3 of the NLCS. Ricky Nolasco will get the ball in Game 4. Manager Don Mattingly had previously revealed that the two would be part of the NLCS rotation, but now we know what order they'll pitch in. Ryu allowed four runs over just three innings in his NLDS start, while Nolasco was skipped over in favor of Clayton Kershaw on short rest.

Hyun-Jin Ryu struggled mightily against the Braves in Game 3 of the NLDS on Sunday, allowing four runs on six hits and a walk over three innings in a no-decision. The 26-year-old rookie southpaw made history when he took the hill, becoming the first Koren-born player to start a postseason game. It was not his finest effort however, as the Braves jumped on him for a pair of runs in the first inning, then added a pair in the third courtesy of a few defensive gaffes made by Ryu himself. He did contribute with the stick however, getting the Dodgers offense going with a sacrifice fly in the four-run second inning off Julio Teheran.
