Hyun-Jin Ryu confirmed he's on track to start Sunday's Game 3 of the NLDS against the Braves. "I will be starting (Sunday)," Ryu told Bill Shaikin of the LA Times on Saturday. There was some concern earlier in the week when he was seen wearing a compression sleeve on his left arm, but Ryu continues to insist there's nothing to worry about. He'll be opposed by Julio Teheran in Sunday's matchup.

Hyun-Jin Ryu (elbow) said Friday that he feels fine and is ready to start Game 3 of the NLDS on Sunday. The rookie southpaw raised some eyebrows this week when he worked out this week with a compression sleeve on his left elbow. Speculation that he was nursing an injury was fueled Friday when Ryu, who rarely throws bullpen sessions between starts, did so with the Dodgers team surgeon and medical director watching. He maintains that all is well, but it's still a situation to monitor moving forward.

Hyun-Jin Ryu will start Game 3 of the NLDS against the Braves. The Dodgers are naturally going with Clayton Kershaw and Zack Greinke for the first two games in the series. Ryu will be followed by Ricky Nolasco assuming the series gets that far. As of now, Kershaw is not an option to pitch on short rest in Game 4.

Hyun-Jin Ryu allowed two runs on eight hits over four innings in a losing effort against the Rockies in Sunday's regular season finale. Ryu racked up four strikeouts while walking one in the game. The 26-year-old Korean import was extremely successful in his first Major League season, posting a 14-8 record, 3.00 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 154/49 K/BB ratio over 192 innings. He's likely to be used as Dodgers third starter behind Clayton Kershaw and Zack Greinke in the upcoming NLDS.

Dylan Hernandez of the Los Angeles Times writes that Hyun-Jin Ryu will be on a "shorter leash" in Sunday's start against the Rockies. The Dodgers are viewing the outing as a tune-up for the playoffs, so he figures to be pulled earlier than he normally would. Ryu is still probably worth starting at home versus Colorado, but don't expect more than five innings or so.

Hyun-Jin Ryu held the Giants to one run over seven innings of work in Tuesday's 2-1 victory. He struck out six, walked one and scattered four hits. Ryu was working on one week's rest, as the Dodgers rewarded him with a few extra off days following last Monday's strong outing against Arizona. The South Korean import improves to 14-7 with a 2.97 ERA. He is scheduled to take on the Giants on Sunday.

Hyun-Jin Ryu's next start will come on Tuesday in San Francisco. Ryu was terrific against the D'Backs Monday, but the Dodgers are giving him some extra rest down the stretch. The club will move Zack Greinke up to pitch on Sunday against the Padres.

Hyun-Jin Ryu allowed two runs on only two hits over eight innings in Monday's loss against the Diamondbacks. Ryu walked A.J. Pollock to begin the game. He induced a pop out, but then watched a pitch to Paul Goldschmidt fly over the center field wall. After that point, he allowed only one base runner over the next 7 2/3 innings. Unfortunately for Ryu, the Dodgers were held to one run, which meant his poor start doomed him to a loss; he's now 13-7 with a 3.03 ERA.

Hyun-Jin Ryu wasn't sharp in his return to the mound on Wednesday, allowing three runs on 10 hits over six innings in a loss to the Diamondbacks. Ryu whiffed only one batter, but didn't issue a walk. Back pain forced the Dodgers to push Ryu back in the rotation twice and he was pitching on 11 days rest. The right-hander falls to 1-3 with a 4.01 ERA in 24 2/3 innings over his last four starts. He'll have a quick opportunity for revenge against the Snakes in Arizona on Monday.

Hyun-Jin Ryu will not start Friday in Cincinnati as originally anticipated. Ryu was already pushed back from Wednesday to Friday, and now he's not going to start this week at all. It's not clear at this point if he's injured or if the Dodgers just want to get him some extra rest. The club will go with Chris Capuano, Zack Greinke and Clayton Kershaw against the Reds this weekend.
