Dodgers activated LHP Hyun-Jin Ryu from the 15-day disabled list. Ryu will return to the Dodgers' starting rotation on Wednesday night against the Mets after missing three weeks because of left shoulder inflammation. The 27-year-old southpaw owns a 3.00 ERA, 1.208 WHIP, and 185 strikeouts through his first 231 major league innings. He can be added back to fantasy lineups immediately.

Hyun-Jin Ryu (shoulder) will rejoin the Dodgers' rotation on Wednesday against the Mets. He was cleared after getting through an extended spring training game over the weekend with no issues. Ryu threw 75 pitches in the extended spring outing, so he shouldn't be limited too much from a pitch count perspective even though he didn't go out on a rehab assignment. Paul Maholm will move to the bullpen.

Hyun-Jin Ryu threw 75 pitches in an extended spring training game on Friday without any issues. Dodgers manager Don Mattingly said afterwards that he's confident Ryu will return to the Dodgers rotation soon, though he wasn't ready to talk about a return on Wednesday. Either way, it appears as his return is growing near.

Hyun-Jin Ryu (shoulder) threw all of his pitches during a 45-pitch bullpen session Tuesday. It's the first time the left-hander has thrown off a mound since being placed on the DL in late April with left shoulder inflammation. The Dodgers have said it's possible Ryu won't need to go out on a rehab assignment, so he's moving closer to a return to the rotation.

Hyun-Jin Ryu (shoulder) will throw a bullpen session Tuesday. Ryu played catch on flat ground again Sunday and has now been cleared to climb atop the bump. The left-hander figures to need at least one rehab start before rejoining the Dodgers' rotation. Count on a return in late May.

Hyun-Jin Ryu (shoulder) played catch on Friday, the first time he's thrown since landing on the disabled list due to shoulder inflammation. The Dodgers are taking their time and bringing him along cautiously as to avoid further injury. He won't be an option to return from the disabled list until late-May.

Hyun-Jin Ryu (shoulder) is not expected to be activated from the disabled list when first eligible on May 13. Ryu has yet to resume throwing even though he was cleared to do so on Tuesday. It doesn't appear that the left-hander has suffered a setback, but rather the Dodgers just seem to be playing things cautiously. There is currently no timetable for Ryu's return.

Hyun-Jin Ryu (shoulder) has been cleared to resume throwing Tuesday. Ryu was seen Monday by Dr. ElAttrache, who confirmed the initial diagnosis of inflammation and did not feel that an MRI was necessary. It's very good news for the Dodgers. Assuming he doesn't feel any discomfort while ramping things up again, it's possible that he could return from the disabled list when he's first eligible or shortly thereafter.

Hyun-Jin Ryu will have his left shoulder examined by Dr. Neal ElAttrache on Monday. Whether Ryu winds up undergoing an MRI will be up to Dr. ElAttrache. The Dodgers have already placed the left-hander on the disabled list but don't believe Ryu has any structural issues. More will obviously be known after Monday's exam.

Dodgers placed LHP Hyun-Jin Ryu on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to April 28, with left shoulder inflammation. Ryu started to develop some soreness after his last start on Sunday and it has yet to die down. The good news is that no MRI is planned and the Dodgers don't believe the ailment is serious. Clayton Kershaw (back) is due back early next week, which certainly helps to soften the blow of losing Ryu. It's not clear yet who will take Ryu's spot in the rotation on Sunday.
