Gio Gonzalez spun seven innings of one-run ball in a no-decision against the Indians on Friday. Gonzalez allowed just three hits while the only damage came on a solo homer by Ryan Raburn in the fourth inning. The southpaw fanned eight and walked four in the no-decision. While he's winless over his last seven starts, he has allowed more than three runs in just one of them. He'll face the Phillies next week in Philadelphia.

Gio Gonzalez racked up seven strikeouts against the Twins on Saturday but settled for a no-decision after allowing three runs (two earned) over six innings. The Twins scratched out a pair of runs in the fourth inning with the help of a defensive miscue. Joe Mauer then broke a 2-2 tie with a solo homer in the fifth. Gonzalez is now winless in each of his last six starts dating back to May 12. It won't get any easier for him next time out as he draws the difficult assignment of taking on the hot-hitting Rockies in Colorado.

Friday's game between the Twins and Nationals has been postponed due to rain. No makeup date has been announced. It's the Nationals' second rainout in as many nights. The Nats will push Gio Gonzalez back to Saturday and can now skip over Nate Karns in the rotation. The Twins will push Kevin Correia back a day.

Thursday's game between the Mets and Nationals has been postponed due to rain. No makeup date has been announced. The Nationals will push Gio Gonzalez back a day, while the Mets will move Shaun Marcum to Saturday and keep Matt Harvey on turn Friday. It also likely means the Nats won't have to call up Ross Ohlendorf to start Saturday.

Gio Gonzalez surrendered four earned runs in 5 2/3 innings Monday as the Nationals fell to the Orioles. The rollercoaster season continues for Gonzalez, who had been sharp in three straight outings but simply looked off on Monday. He yielded four walks and eight hits while striking out only three batters. The left-hander will try for better next week against the Braves.

Gio Gonzalez pitched 7 1/3 innings of one-run ball in a no-decision against the Giants on Wednesday. The obvious call was to pull Gonzalez after 107 pitches and seven scoreless innings today, but manager Davey Johnson was hoping for more. A one-out walk got Gonzalez pulled in the eighth, and the baserunner came around to score off Drew Storen, tying the game at 1. Gonzalez has allowed just three earned runs over 21 innings in his last three starts, but he has no victories to show for it.

Gio Gonzalez tossed seven scoreless innings but the Nationals lost late to the Cubs on Sunday. Gonzalez was fantastic, yielding only two hits and a walk while striking out six batters. He's had a rollercoaster-like season so far but is capable of settling into a nice groove here as the weather warms. The lefty is an obvious must-start next week against the Padres.

Gio Gonzalez held the Pirates to two earned runs in six innings Sunday as the Nationals won 6-2. Gonzalez entered the game with a brutal 5.34 ERA and 1.38 WHIP. After allowing just the two runs on two walks and five hits, his ERA is 4.97 and his WHIP is 1.34. He should begin settling into a nice groove.

Gio Gonzalez allowed five runs in four innings as the Nationals lost to the Braves on Tuesday. Walks have always been Gio's nemesis, and they were again Tuesday. Gonzalez walked five batter in his four innings of work, but he also allowed seven hits. He's now worked five innings or less in four of his last five starts, winning just one game in that time. It's tough to keep trotting the southpaw out there, but he's always a threat to turn in a gem. That gem could come in his next start Sunday against the Pirates.

Gio Gonzalez allowed just one hit -- a Joey Votto solo homer -- over eight innings as the Nationals beat the Reds 8-1 on Thursday. That's better. Gonzalez, who looked so strong all spring, entered this one with a 5.85 ERA. He struck out seven and walked one against one of the NL's best offenses tonight. He gets a rematch with the Braves next. Last time he faced them on April 14, the Nationals lost 9-0.
