Gattis (wrist) will begin a rehabilitation assignment Wednesday at Low-A Quad Cities, Jake Kaplan of the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gattis reported to Quad Cities earlier this week and will appear in Wednesday's Midwest League playoff game at Peoria. There will be two more playoff games Thursday and Friday, which should be enough to prepare Gattis for re-entry to the majors this weekend.

Gattis (wrist) is scheduled to report to Low-A Quad Cities in the next couple of days to begin a rehab assignment, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
With a concussion in addition to the wrist issue in the last month, Gattis' health has been a concern lately, but on a fortunate note, it sounds like this latest setback won't keep him sidelined for long. Gattis is eligible to return from the DL on Sept. 9, and assuming he's able to get in a couple games in the minors without his wrist acting up, he should be on track to rejoin the Astros next weekend.

Gattis was placed on the 10-day DL with right wrist soreness prior to Thursday's game against the Rangers, Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gattis was activated from the 7-day concussion disabled list just a week ago, but will head back on the shelf while dealing with this setback. The 31-year-old was 1-for-12 at the plate during this past week, and hasn't played since Aug. 29, making him eligible to return Sept. 9 against the A's. There has yet to be any word on the severity of this injury, but it seems unlikely that he would miss an extended period of time.

Gattis (concussion) was activated from the disabled list prior to Friday's game against the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
Gattis has been out since Aug. 4 while dealing with a concussion, but was able to compete a couple of rehab outings over the last week, and should be ready for action moving forward. The 31-year-old figures to see a decent amount of time in the lineup, backing up Brian McCann and Carlos Beltran at catcher and DH, respectively. In a corresponding move, the club placed Max Stassi on the 10-day DL with left hand inflammation.

Manager A.J. Hinch said Gattis (concussion) will be activated from the 7-day DL on Friday or Saturday, Richard Justice of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gattis was able to get through a pair of minor-league rehab games with no issues during the week, clearing the way for him to rejoin the big club over the weekend. He was originally going to play in a third rehab game, but Hurricane Harvey altered those plans, according to Mark Berman of Fox 26. When he returns, he'll resume his timeshare behind the dish with Brian McCann.

Gattis (concussion) is scheduled to begin a minor-league rehab assignment with Double-A Corpus Christi on Tuesday, Jake Kaplan of the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gattis was able to workout behind the plate with no issues over the weekend, clearing the way for him to head out on a rehab assignment. He's expected to play catcher for six or seven innings Tuesday, serve as the DH on Wednesday, and then return to catcher on Thursday before possibly returning to the Astros. When he returns, he should resume his timeshare behind the dish with Brian McCann (knee).

Gattis (concussion) is in line to begin a rehabilitation assignment early next week, Jake Kaplan of the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gattis took batting practice against a couple of Astro relievers, Will Harris (shoulder) and Tony Sipp (calf), who are expected to join the catcher on rehab next week. Gattis was placed on the concussion list Aug. 5, and his symptoms lingered until earlier this week. Friday's batting-practice session was his second such one since Wednesday.

Gattis (concussion) was cleared to take batting practice Wednesday, Jake Kaplan of the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gattis passed his initial ImPACT test and appears set to begin ramping up his activities in preparation for a return, likely at some point during the Astros' current homestand. According to Kaplan, manager A.J. Hinch said that the team plans to send Gattis out on a rehab assignment prior to activating him from the 7-day disabled list, though any stint in the minors would likely be a brief one. In the meantime, the Astros will get by with Juan Centeno and Max Stassi as their catchers while both Gattis and Brian McCann (knee) are sidelined.

Gattis' concussion symptoms are decreasing but he's still not at the point where he can handle baseball activities, Jake Kaplan of the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gattis has been limited to playing catch on the field at Minute Maid Park, making his return for the start of Houston's upcoming homestand Wednesday unlikely. The Astros are currently without their two top catchers after Brian McCann (knee) joined Gattis on the disabled list.
