Gattis went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a double during Saturday's win over the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
Gattis squared up a Dellin Betances fastball in the eight inning for his sixth home run of the season, and it was a no-doubt shot off the bat. After hitting 59 homers through his first two seasons with the Astros, his power pace is lagging this year, but he's capable of turning it on in a hurry. His .277 batting average is also a career-high mark, and he's a hot stretch away from climbing the fantasy catcher ranks in short order.

Gattis went 1-for-4 with a run and three RBI in Thursday's win over the A's.
EDGE Analysis
He has yet to tap into the power he's shown in recent years, but Gattis is making solid contact and drove in multiple runs for the second consecutive game. Still, his irregular playing time makes him something of a frustrating commodity in shallower formats given his lack of home run output to this point. Gattis got the start behind the plate for Thursday's matinee game while Brian McCann got the day off, but Gattis could be headed back to the bench for Friday's series opener in Seattle.

Gattis is out of the lineup for Saturday's game against the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
Brian McCann gets the start behind the dish and Carlos Beltran will DH as the Astros face Angels starter Ricky Nolasco. Gattis' bat has cooled off a bit over the last week as he's collected just three hits over his last 14 at-bats. He figures to rejoin the lineup for Sunday's series finale.

Gattis went 4-for-6 with a double, a home run, three runs scored and three RBI in Wednesday's 17-6 rout of the Twins.
EDGE Analysis
His eighth-inning solo shot was his fourth homer of the season and part of a six-HR barrage from the Astros. Gattis added 20 points to his batting average with the four-hit performance, and he now has a .287/.355/.451 slash line on the season.

Gattis is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
Gattis is in line to act as the primary catcher with Brian McCann (concussion) out of commission, but he'll head to the bench for a night off after collecting just three hits over the past seven games. Juan Centeno will assume the catching duties for the evening.

Gattis went 1-for-3 with a walk in Monday's 1-0 win over the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
Gattis got the start at catcher Monday with Brian McCann having been placed on the 7-day concussion list over the weekend. McCann's eligible to be activated Saturday so presume Gattis will get the bulk of the starts this week. He's hitting .271/.360/.417 through 29 games this season.

Gattis isn't included in the lineup for Monday's game against the Rangers, Julia Morales of ROOT Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gattis' move to the bench ends a streak of six straight starts, during which he went 8-for-22 with a homer and six RBI. Now that all the Astros regulars are back to full health, Gattis won't have a clear route to an everyday role, but manager A.J. Hinch still figures to find a fair amount of starts every week for Gattis at either catcher or designated hitter.

Gattis went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's 7-6 loss to the Indians.
EDGE Analysis
The homer was Gattis' second of the season, both coming in his last three starts. After an offseason in which Houston acquired Brian McCann and Carlos Beltran, we were curious about Gattis' opportunities in 2017 but he's appeared in 14 of Houston's 21 games. More recently, outfield injuries have led to Beltran playing left field and allowed Gattis to serve as the designated hitter, as was the case Wednesday. When in the starting lineup, Gattis has primarily slotted into the middle of the order, hitting fourth or fifth where RBI opportunities abound.

Gattis is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rays, Julia Morales of ROOT Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gattis will be on the bench for the second time in the series with Brian McCann behind the plate and Carlos Beltran assuming the DH duties. The 30-year-old was at least productive in the lone game he's played this series, slugging his first homer of the season and driving in two runs in Saturday's loss.

Gattis went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and two RBI during Saturday's loss to Tampa Bay.
EDGE Analysis
Gattis has been seeing semi-regular playing time with 34 at-bats, and he's turning in solid results when given the opportunity. Currently sporting a .294/.415/.441 slash line with five runs and seven RBI, he's well on his way to a serviceable showing from the catcher position. It also might prove that a little more rest and duty as the designated hitter allows Gattis to be more efficient when he's in the lineup.
