Gattis was placed on the 10-day DL with right wrist soreness prior to Thursday's game against the Rangers, Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reports.

Gattis was activated from the 7-day concussion disabled list just a week ago, but will head back on the shelf while dealing with this setback. The 31-year-old was 1-for-12 at the plate during this past week, and hasn't played since Aug. 29, making him eligible to return Sept. 9 against the A's. There has yet to be any word on the severity of this injury, but it seems unlikely that he would miss an extended period of time.
