Thames went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk during Sunday's win over the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
Thames has been mired in a long-standing slump with a .205/.364/.409 slash line since May 1, but it might be more injury related than anything. He missed some time because of a hamstring injury and it also altered his day-to-day routine, which included not working out his legs in the weight room. Now that he's back in the gym regularly and past the linger hammy ailment, it wouldn't be shocking to see him settle back in at the dish. It's further encouraging that four of his past five hits have gone for extra bases.

Thames is out of Saturday's lineup against the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
The Brewers will go with the right-handed Jesus Aguilar at first base against tough southpaw Rich Hill. Thames is hitting .137/.362/.255 with one home run over his last 17 games (51 at-bats), and appears a little slow afoot, so he could be nursing a minor lower-body ailment.

Thames went 2-for-3 with a double, a homer, two walks, two RBI and two runs against the Mets on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
His last homer came back on May 9, and Thames had struggled mightily since then, hitting just .156/.356/.222 over a span of 15 games (plus five that he spent on the bench). After all the long balls he hit in April, though, Thames could afford a slump. Thames was a 40-homer man in each of the last two seasons in Korea, but considering the way he's fallen off since his superb start, it seems like he'll be hard-pressed to reach that mark in the majors.

Thames is out of the lineup Sunday against the Diamondbacks.
EDGE Analysis
Thames was tabbed as the starting left fielder Saturday, giving him seven straight starts despite dealing with some nagging ailments. He'll head to the bench Sunday, however, as southpaw Patrick Corbin will take the hill for the opposing Diamondbacks. Thames does own a 1.129 OPS against left-handed pitching this season, but will give way to Jesus Aguilar at first base nonetheless.

Thames (hamstring) is batting second and playing first base Tuesday against the Blue Jays.
EDGE Analysis
Thames was removed from Sunday's contest against the Cubs with a leg cramp, but it appears he's good to go again after receiving treatment during Monday's off day. The slugger has been dealing with some nagging leg issues lately, and although it's unclear if Sunday's cramps were related in any way, the Brewers may choose to deploy him carefully in the short run. Thames, who is slashing .306/.429/.664 with 13 homers, 39 runs and 26 RBI across 134 at-bats, will face off against Joe Biagini Tuesday.

Thames left Sunday's game against the Cubs with a leg cramp, Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jesus Aguilar took over at first base in the fifth inning after Thames' leg cramps forced him from the contest. Thames has been dealing with nagging leg issues over the last couple of weeks, but it's unclear if Sunday's cramps are related in any way. He'll have the chance to go in for treatment during the Brewers' off-day Monday, which should help his chances at returning to the lineup Tuesday.

Thames (illness) is back in the Brewers' lineup Friday, batting second and playing first base, Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
He came off the bench as a pinch hitter Thursday but went 0-for-1. Thames' recent bout with strep throat coincided with the club's stated goal to rest his legs as often as possible to keep him fresh. Either way, owners of the 13-homer, 25-RBI, .313/.432/.688 breakout candidate will happily throw him back into their lineups, against the Cubs' Eddie Butler.

Manager Craig Counsell said Thames (illness) is available as a pinch hitter Thursday if needed, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
While Thames will be afforded his fourth consecutive day of rest Thursday, Counsell said he remains optimistic that the slugger will be able to return to the Brewers' lineup in the next day or so. Jesus Aguilar will continue to fill in for Thames at first base while the 30-year-old remains a day-to-day case.

Thames (illness) is not in the Brewers' Thursday lineup.
EDGE Analysis
It's uncertain whether he's available as a pinch hitter, but Thames likely will need his fourth consecutive day of rest as he continues to battle strep throat. Jesus Aguilar will again fill in at first base. Thames could return Friday or over the weekend if this extra rest helps.

Thames (illness) is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
This marks the third game in a row that Thames will miss while being under the weather. It seemed like there was a chance he could've returned for Wednesday's contest, so a Thursday return isn't out of the question at this point. Jesus Aguilar will man first base in his stead once more.
