Thames is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Nationals.
EDGE Analysis
The slugger hit a mammoth home run Tuesday night, but with left-hander Gio Gonzalez taking the hill for Washington, Thames will hit the bench for a night off. Jesus Aguilar will man first base in his place.

Thames is starting at first base and hitting fifth Tuesday in Washington -- the first time he has not hit second or third all season.
EDGE Analysis
He is slashing just .216/.331/.436 since May 1, so this move down the lineup card is not surprising. Thames still has plenty of fantasy appeal, especially in points and OBP leagues, but there is no denying that his stock has been trending down for a while. Ryan Braun will hit second while Travis Shaw hits third.

Thames is out of the lineup Thursday against the Pirates.
EDGE Analysis
Thames had another rough day at the plate Wednesday, fanning four times in a hitless effort. He now has seven strikeouts in his last two games, and four three-strikeout games on the month. Despite the incredibly hot start, it's been tough sledding for Thames for an extended stretch now. He's batting just .210 since May 1. As a result, he'll give way to Jesus Aguilar at first base, despite right-hander Jameson Taillon taking the hill for the opposing Pirates.

Thames is out of the lineup Sunday against the Phillies.
EDGE Analysis
Thames will take a seat in favor of Jesus Aguilar while the Brewers go for the home sweep against Philadelphia. It appears to be just a regular maintenance day for Thames, who doubled twice in Saturday's victory.

Thames went 2-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI during Saturday's win over Philadelphia.
EDGE Analysis
Thames' first half was filled with peaks and valleys at the dish. He's showcased tremendous power, and his .938 OPS is an impressive mark. However, with a 27.5 strikeout percentage, there are likely to be more ups and downs moving forward. Thames remains a solid fantasy asset going forward, but he's unlikely to kick his inconsistency, which can be especially frustrating in weekly settings.

Thames is out of the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
Southpaw Jordan Montgomery is toeing the rubber for the Yankees, so Thames will head to the bench for the second consecutive night. The slugger is hitting just .214 against left-handed pitching this season, so the Brewers will go with Jesus Aguilar at first base in his stead.

Thames is not in the lineup with the Brewers facing southpaw Mike Montgomery on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Manager Craig Counsell is stacking the team with right-handed bats for the make-up matinee, giving Thames a day off on the bench. The slugger also went 0-for-3 with three strikeouts during Wednesday's contest and will give way to Jesus Aguilar at first.

Thames went 2-for-3 with a walk, two home runs and three RBI in Tuesday's 6-2 win over the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
He's now got three homers in his last two games and 23 on the year. Thames is hitting only .188 (19-for-101) since the beginning of June, but his nine home runs and 16 RBI over that stretch have allowed him to maintain fantasy value even as his batting average tumbles.

Thames is out of the lineup Monday against the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
Following a rough 11-game stretch where he went 4-for-41 with only one extra-base hit, Thames got back on track Sunday against the Marlins by drawing a walk and adding his 21st home run of the season. Still, it appears Thames' extended slump may have landed him in a soft platoon with Jesus Aguilar, as he'll sit out for the third time in five games with a lefty (Wade Miley) starting for the opposition. The Brewers are tentatively lined up to square off against two more left-handed starters in the Cubs' Mike Montgomery and the Yankees' Jordan Montgomery during their seven-game week, so it wouldn't be surprising if Thames ended up sitting on at least one more occasion before the All-Star break.

Thames went 1-for-2 with a solo homer, a walk and two runs Sunday against the Marlins.
EDGE Analysis
Thames scored the game's first run in the bottom of the first and pulled his team back to within one with a long ball in the third, but that production wasn't nearly enough as Miami went on to win 10-3. The homer was Thames' first since he went yard four days in a row from Jun. 14 to 17, and he'll need more performances like this if he wants to fend off Jesus Aguilar for playing time at first base.
