Travis is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Cardinals, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet reports.
EDGE Analysis
Travis' performance at the plate has been dismal thus far. After 16 games he's hitting just .127/.179/.190 and has recorded just two extra-base hits. Travis will head to the bench as Darwin Barney fills in at second base.

Travis is out of the lineup Sunday against the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
Manager John Gibbons will hold out the slumping Travis for the second day in a row, affording Ryan Goins a second straight start at the keystone. It's probably premature to say that Travis has lost his grasp of the everyday role, but when he returns to the lineup, he'll likely have to prove his worth in the bottom third of the order before regaining a more prominent spot.

Travis is batting ninth for Thursday's game against the Orioles, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet reports.
EDGE Analysis
Travis had been the primary leadoff hitter for Toronto for the beginning of the season, but given the team's (and his) struggles at the plate, manager John Gibbons shook up the lineup to try to produce more offense. Ezequiel Carrera will take over as the leadoff hitter for the evening, which could lead to the outfielder swiping some run-scoring opportunities from Travis in the short-term.

Travis is not in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Rays, TV Broadcaster Hazel Mae reports.
EDGE Analysis
Travis will give way to Darwin Barney at second base while Steve Pearce will take over at the top of the order. It appears to be a normal day off for Travis, and he should be back at in the lineup Friday.

Travis (knee) will stay and work out in Florida, missing the upcoming weekend trip to Montreal because the team doesn't want the second baseman playing on the turf at Olympic Stadium, Mark Zwolinski of the Toronto Star reports.
EDGE Analysis
After spending most of spring training rehabbing and strengthening his right knee, the Jays will play it safe with their leadoff man in the final weekend of Grapefruit League games. However, the club will have to expose Travis to the turf soon enough, as its home ballpark, the Rogers Centre, is one of only two remaining venues in MLB using artificial turf. The other is Tampa's Tropicana Field, where the Jays play their third regular-season game on April 6 versus the Rays. Placing Travis on the DL to open the year is still an option, but as of now, he's expected to be ready to take the field in the 2017 opener in Baltimore on April 3.

Travis (knee) is expected to avoid the disabled list and be ready to play on Opening Day, Gregor Chisholm of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
It was only a couple of weeks ago that Travis was expected to start the campaign on the DL, so his potential availability on Opening Day is a major development. "He cleared a big hurdle," Jays manager John Gibbons said on Sunday morning. "I was impressed watching him. He has played a couple of games in a row now and he's played a couple of games in the field. There's nothing definite yet, but it certainly looks like [he'll be ready]." Gibbons may not have fully committed to the plan, but it's unlikely the 26-year-old will miss Opening Day unless he suffers an unexpected setback in the coming days. Travis, a career .301 hitter with a .342 on-base percentage, will be the team's leadoff hitter in 2017.

Travis (knee) played five innings at second base, going 1-for-2 with an RBI double Friday in his Grapefruit League debut.
EDGE Analysis
The bone bruise on Travis' right knee was test on the second pitch of the game when Brock Holt forced the second baseman to his left to field a grounder and make the throw to first base for the out. "Crazy that this game, man, that ball will find you every time," Travis said. "It's almost like I knew it was coming to me. So yeah, that was nice to get that first ground ball out of the way, and I felt good. So everything went good." Toronto opens the season Apr. 3 and the 26-year-old's status for Opening Day remains uncertain at this point, but Friday was a huge step in the right direction for Travis.

Travis (knee) is in the Grapefruit League lineup for the first time this spring Friday, playing second base and batting seventh, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet reports.
EDGE Analysis
The keystone defender likely will play the field for approximately five innings after doing the same Wednesday during his stretch of minor league tests. If Travis does enough in the coming days to prove he can handle the physical workload of close to a full outing, the late-round lotto ticket in mixed leagues could exceed expectations and start the season on time.

Travis (knee) will in his first Grapefruit League game Friday, freelance writer John Lott reports.
EDGE Analysis
He is set to play second base for five innings in Friday's game. Travis has been playing in minor-league games for over a week, and logged five innings at the keystone Wednesday. It sounds like he might have enough time to get fully acclimated for Opening Day.

Travis (knee) is hopeful to make his Grapefruit League debut later this week, John Lott of The Athletic Toronto reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Blue Jays have been easing Travis back into action following offseason knee surgery, as the 26-year-old has been playing in minor-league games for the past week. He's set to play in games Monday and Wednesday on the backfields, and if those sessions go well, manager John Gibbons could insert Travis into the Grapefruit League lineup at some point over the weekend. Injuries have been a hindrance to Travis throughout his brief time in the majors, but he's flashed plenty of offensive upside when he's been healthy enough to take the field, as evidenced by his career 119 wRC+ mark.
