Travis (knee) was able to take ground balls and play catch Saturday, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
Travis is beginning to make progress following an operation in mid-June that cleaned up the cartilage in his knee. The second baseman still faces a lengthy road until he is back with Toronto, as he was placed on the 60-day DL after going down, but this provided a key step toward his recovery.

Travis (knee) was moved to the 60-day disabled list Friday.
EDGE Analysis
It's entirely possible that Travis's knee injury will keep him out for the entire season, as he required surgery to clean out some of the cartilage in his knee. With the Blue Jays needing a 40-man roster spot for Ian Parmley, moving Travis to the 60-day disabled list was an easy choice.

The Blue Jays are unsure if Travis (knee) will return this season, Mark Colley of SB Nation reports.
EDGE Analysis
General manager Ross Atkins said that the Jays "hope" to see Travis back on the playing field this season, but it isn't for sure. Atkins added that Travis will miss, on the low side, three months -- yet, made sure to note that nothing is concrete. Unfortunately for the second baseman, 2017 is shaping up to be another lost campaign due to health.

Travis (knee) underwent an operation to clean up the cartilage in his knee and is expected to be out "a while" according to manager John Gibbons, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
This situation certainly escalated quickly, as Travis was originally tabbed with just a bone bruise on his injured knee. The murky timeframe for his return is also fairly ominous, as his injury history certainly makes it hard to believe that he'll be back in action prior to the All-Star break, although no firm date has been provided yet. Look for Ryan Goins and Darwin Barney to operate in a platoon until Travis can play again.

Travis (wrist) was placed on the 10-day disabled list Tuesday with a bone bruise on his right knee, Gregor Chisholm of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
This comes as a bit of a surprise, as it seemed like Travis had gotten his legs back under him following a few days off earlier in the month. The Blue Jays are reportedly concerned that there is cartilage damage as well, so they'll send their embattled second baseman in for further testing. No corresponding move has been made yet, but look for Ryan Goins, Darwin Barney and Chris Coghlan to jockey for playing time at the keystone while he's out.

Travis (wrist) will need to wait for the swelling on his hand to subside before he's able to grip a bat, Rob Longley of The Toronto Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
The good news is that Travis didn't suffer a broken wrist; the bad news is the injury interrupts the second baseman just as he was getting hot. In the 18 games prior to being hit by a pitch Sunday, Travis was hitting .408 with a ridiculous 1.145 OPS over 75 plate appearances. Darwin Barney and Ryan Goins will split the duties while Travis remains day-to-day.

Travis (wrist) is out of Monday's lineup against the A's.
EDGE Analysis
X-rays came back negative on his wrist on Sunday, so he remains day-to-day for now. Darwin Barney will start at second base and hit eighth in his place.

X-rays on Travis' wrist came back negative Sunday, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet reports.
EDGE Analysis
This comes as a relief after Travis, who has been a major part of the Blue Jays' recent resurgence, left Sunday's game after being hit by a pitch on the wrist. Toronto returns to action Monday, so it's unclear whether he'll need a day off to rest. If Travis is unable to give it a go Monday, Ryan Goins or Darwin Barney would likely take over at second base.

Travis exited Sunday's game after being hit on the wrist by a pitch, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet reports.
EDGE Analysis
Although he initially stayed in the game, Travis was ultimately pulled by manager John Gibbons when the Blue Jays took the field for the top of the eighth inning. The club figures to have a further update on Travis following Sunday's game. Travis had gone 1-for-2 with a strikeout prior to his exit.

Travis is not in the lineup Thursday against the Yankees, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
Per manager John Gibbons, Travis is getting the day off to rest his sore knee and hamstring, Mike Wilner of Sportsnet 590 The Fan reports. Darwin Barney will man the keystone in his stead, although it's reasonable to expect Travis to return to the lineup after getting his legs back under him following the maintenance day.
