Travis will take it easy at the beginning of spring camp after undergoing knee surgery last June, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
According to manager John Gibbons, Travis has been moving around pretty well but the team will still elect to ease him into spring training rather than cause any sort of setback. Gibbons also stated that the club will "keep an eye on him" and could potentially "get him on a program where he plays X number of days per week just to get him rested" once the regular season begins. Due to his injury history, it would be best to monitor Travis throughout the spring.

Travis (knee) is expected to begin running within the next month as part of his offseason knee rehabilitation program, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
Travis is still working his way back from the season-ending knee injury he suffered in June of last season. The 26-year-old says that he currently "feels good," but not until he resumes running will we know the true extent of his recovery. Assuming he enters the season at full health, Travis should be a capable fantasy contributor at the keystone.

Travis (knee) agreed to a one-year, $1.45 million deal with Toronto on Friday, avoiding arbitration, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
This was the first season as an arbitration-eligible player for Travis, and he collected a $910,000 raise this offseason. Travis appeared in 50 games for the Blue Jays in 2017, slashing .259/.291/.438 with five home runs, 24 RBI and four stolen bases, but missed the remainder of the year after undergoing a knee procedure to clean up cartilage in mid-June. He should be fully operational heading into 2018, and could be of some value as a late-round pick.

General manager Ross Atkins said Travis (knee) will be ready for the start of spring training, Gregor Chisholm of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Travis appeared in just 50 games last season before injuries -- most notably a knee injury that required surgery to clean up cartilage -- ended his season in June. The 26-year-old was able to flash his potential before injuring himself, as he hit an impressive .364 with four homers, 19 RBI and two swiped bags during the month of May. Barring any setbacks, he should be back at the keystone to start the season, where he could provide late-round value if he's able to stay healthy.

Travis (knee) was reinstated from the 60-day DL on Friday, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
Travis was out since early June after undergoing knee surgery to clean up the cartilage in his knee. Although the infielder was expected to make it back for the last month of the year, he suffered a setback that effectively ended any hopes of returning to the field. Over the course of 2017, he slashed .259/.291/.438 with five home runs and 24 RBI in 50 games.

Travis (knee) is not expected to make it back onto the field this season, according to manager John Gibbons, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
Travis suffered a setback in his rehab in late August, and will likely remain on the disabled list for the rest of the season while recovering from a surgical procedure that cleaned up the cartilage in his knee. Moving forward, there should be no concern for his health going into the 2018 season.

Travis (knee) had a setback in his rehab and is unlikely to return this season, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
The team has not said specifically that he will not return this season, but considering he's being backed off his rehab and has not played in a game since June 4, it certainly seems unlikely that he will make it back in 2017. Travis has typically been oft-injured yet good when healthy, and this year he wasn't even good when healthy. He has played a total of 213 games in three MLB seasons.

Travis (knee) fielded some grounders at second base Tuesday, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's yet another positive step forward for Travis, who had resumed hitting and running a few days earlier. The Blue Jays are optimistic that Travis will be able to return from the 60-day disabled list by the end of August, but an official timetable won't be fleshed out until he's cleared to begin a rehab assignment in the minors.

Travis (knee) has begun hitting in the batting cage and is nearing the start of a running program, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet reports.
EDGE Analysis
Travis' lengthy rehab is starting to show signs of significant progress as reports are suggesting he could be back with the Blue Jays by late August after some initial fears that he'd be lost for the season. How Travis' knee responds to the increased activity will dictate how soon the Blue Jays will be able to deploy him on a rehab assignment. Look for more updates on Travis as his running program gets underway.

Blue Jays general manager Ross Atkins said Tuesday that he's hopeful Travis (knee) will return from the 60-day disabled list before the end of August, Mike Wilner of Sportsnet 590 The Fan reports.
EDGE Analysis
Travis has already been able to do some light fielding work, but the Blue Jays haven't yet carved out a timeline for him to resume a running program. Given Atkins' comments, Travis may ramp up his activity in the coming days before potentially starting up a rehab assignment a few weeks later. With Troy Tulowitzki (ankle) likely out for the season, the Blue Jays will have to get by with Darwin Barney, Ryan Goins and Rob Refsnyder at the middle-infield spots before Travis' eventual return helps provide some relief.
