Gordon (leg) is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Giants, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.
Gordon was out of the lineup Friday as well due to a sore muscle in his right leg. The team doesn't believe it's anything serious, but they'll continue to play it safe with Gordon, who is hitting a scorching .437 with 12 steals on the season. Christian Yelich will again fill in as the leadoff hitter, while Jeff Baker gets the start at second base.

Gordon's absence from the lineup Friday night against the Giants was due to a sore muscle in his right leg, but GM Dan Jennings told the Miami Herald that the day off was "just precautionary... making sure it doesn't lead into anything more significant."
The team has every reason to play it safe with their leadoff hitter who is off to a blistering .437/.461/.521 start at the dish with 12 steals through 28 games. It sounds like Gordon has a chance to return to the lineup at some point this weekend, but owners will need to keep an eye on the lineup card ahead of Saturday's game. Donovan Solano filled in at second base Friday with a returning Christian Yelich taking over the leadoff spot.

Gordon is out of the lineup Friday against the Giants, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.
The Marlins have not given a specific reason for Gordon absence, but Gordon was limping a bit after stretching to touch home plate in the ninth inning of Thursday's game. Donovan Solano will step in at second base Friday as Christian Yelich takes over atop the order.

Gordon isn't in the lineup Sunday against the Phillies, MLB.com reports.
Gordon's sensational season roared on Saturday, as he reached base in all five of his plate appearances and picked up his 10th and 11th stolen bases of the season. The speedster is batting .440 on the campaign and has been the driving force in the Marlins' upward charge in the NL East standings, so manager Mike Redmond will reward him with his first day off of the season. Donovan Solano will cover second base in Gordon's stead.

Gordon reached base in all five of his plate appearances Saturday, going 3-for-3 with two walks, three runs scored and two steals.
That's six straight multi-hit games for Gordon, boosting his slash line to a ridiculous .440/.463/.510. At some point he'll cool off at the plate, but his 11 steals (in 17 attempts) through 24 games puts him well on pace to match or even top last season's total of 64 swipes.

Gordon went 3-for-4 with a walk, one runs scored and a stolen base in Friday's win over the Phillies.
Gordon continues to look like a brilliant acquisition for Miami, posting a .423/.437/.495 slash over his first 97 at-bats. The speedy second baseman is just 9-for-16 in stolen base attempts but with 12 runs scored, 11 RBI and a whopping 41 hits in the season's first month, it's difficult to knit-pick Gordon's performance thus far.

Gordon picked up two more hits in Monday's loss to the Mets, pushing his season line to a robust .395/.411/.465 over his first 20 games.
Gordon has scored just 10 runs in his 20 games despite getting on base over 40% of the time in opening weeks of the season. Part of that blame lands on the Marlins scuffling supporting cast, but Gordon is not helping his own case, converting just 8-of-14 stolen base attempts thus far. Though his role atop the lineup remains safe, Gordon will need to be more judicious and efficient on the basepaths moving forward.

Gordon was 3-for-4 with a stolen bag and one RBI in Miami's win over the Nationals Friday night.
Gordon is hitting a brisk .370 and has swiped eight bags so his fantasy owners have to be pleased. Hopefully the RBI bats behind him will soon start producing more consistently so he can start adding more runs scored if he can keep getting on base.

Gordon had a perfect night at the dish, driving in three runs while going 5-for-5 in a loss tot he Mets.
Gordon is scorching hot to start the season, batting .400/.415/.520 in his first 12 games in Miami. He's scored seven times and driven home nine RBI over 50 at-bats while swiping six bags in the process. While it would be nice to see Gordon become a bit more efficient on the basepaths as he's been caught stealing four times in ten attempts, it is tough to complain about a player whose posted five multi-hit efforts in his last nine games.

Gordon went 3-for-5 with a triple, one run scored and one RBI during Sunday's loss to the Rays.
Gordon recorded his second three-hit game of the Marlins' weekend series while pushing his average to .346 (9-for-25) through six games. Gordon swiped three bases and scored five times during the season's first week while doing just about everything that the Marlins could have hoped for atop the order.
