David Wright launched a two-run homer in Sunday's win over the Marlins. Wright's blast got the Mets' scoring going in the first, and Ruben Tejada walked them off in the ninth with a two-out RBI single. The third baseman's 19 longballs are a bit of a disappointment for fantasy owners after the Mets moved the fences in at Citi Field, but there's no doubt that Wright has had a superb year, batting .304/.390/.488 with 84 RBI.

David Wright hit a solo home run in Wednesday's loss to the Phillies. Wright's sixth-inning shot off Cole Hamels was his lone hit in five trips to the plate. Wright is hitting just .250 in September, and has only two home runs in 43 games since August 1.

David Wright is not in Wednesday's lineup against the Cardinals. Wright is just getting the day off. The Mets have a scheduled off-day on Thursday, so it's pretty good time to rest him. Justin Turner will play third in his place.

David Wright told Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com that he is "extremely optimistic" about about the chances of signing a long-term contract extension with the Mets. "There's not a single complaint that I have," said Wright. "(The Mets) drafted me as a kid. They developed me. They've given me an opportunity to make a living playing a game. There's a tremendous amount of mutual respect. They've gone above and beyond." Wright's contract includes a $16 million option for 2013 with a $1 million buyout. The 29-year-old third baseman didn't want to discuss an extension during the season, so this offseason might be the best window to get a deal done. Rival executives believe Wright is a $20 million player while Heyman speculates that it might take eight years and $160 million to keep him in Queens for the long haul.

David Wright's recent offensive struggles continued in Friday's loss to the Braves, as he went 0-for-3. After a blistering first half to the season, Wright is now hitting just .194 (12-for-62) with one homer and six RBI over his last 17 games. He's too good of a hitter to have this funk continue for much longer, so expect him to heat back up in the coming weeks.

David Wright went 3-for-4 with a double and his 39th RBI in Wednesday's win over the Orioles. Wright has now hit safely in 11 straight games, but the multi-hit night was just his second in 14 contests. Nevertheless, New York's superstar third baseman is batting .358/.456/.571 to go along with 33 extra-base hits through his first 66 games.

David Wright went 1-for-3 with an RBI double and a walk in Saturday's loss to the Reds. Again in this one, Wright accounted for the entirety of the Mets offense. He's now hitting .357 on the season with eight homers, 37 RBI and seven steals, and looks once again like the superstar version of Wright we saw from 2005-2010. Fantasy owners who gambled on Wright in the early rounds of drafts this year have to be thrilled with the production that he's provided to date.

David Wright hit a solo home run off Phil Hughes in the Mets' loss to the Yankees on Saturday. Wright's resurgent season continues, as he's now hitting a blistering .355 with eight homers and 34 RBI. He's a big part of the reason that the Mets are currently four games over the .500 mark, and should be continue to provide fantasy owners with solid production across the board for the remainder of the 2012 campaign.
