Wright (hamstring), who took live batting practice Wednesday, may not return to action until the May 8-10 series against the Phillies, Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reports.
Wright still feels the right hamstring strain when he accelerates to run, though there is no pain. In addition, he has yet to run outside of a straight line, but he has fielded grounders while moving laterally. Until Wright no longer feels the strain and is able to run side-to-side and on an angle, he will remain sidelined.

Wright (hamstring) took live batting practice Wednesday, Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reports.
Wright has also resumed running straight ahead, but hasn't progressed to being able to turn while running yet. Manager Terry Collins indicated he wasn't sure about the next steps for Wright, suggesting that he may not need a rehab stint, but the third baseman appears to still be at least a week away from a return at this point.

Manager Terry Collins indicated Monday that Wright (hamstring) is "not that close" to returning, Adam Rubin of ESPN reports.
Wright continues to rehab from a hamstring injury, and will begin to ramp up his baseball activity Monday. However, he won't be with the club either Wednesday or Thursday (his first eligible day to return), likely indicating he's still a ways out. The initial timetable slated him as missing three weeks because of the issue, which would fall into the range of the first week in May, but he remains without a clear timetable to this point.

Wright will begin to ramp up his baseball activities Monday by taking grounders and doing some running, Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reports.
Wright continues to work his way back from a hamstring injury that was slated to cost him approximately three weeks. The earliest he could return comes the first week of May, but his progression over the next week or two should determine when he'll finally rejoin the club.

General manager Sandy Alderson said Wednesday that the expectation is Wright (hamstring) will miss three weeks, the Wall Street Journal's Jared Diamond reports.
Alderson said the team obviously hopes Wright will only miss the minimum amount of time after being placed on the 15-day DL, but it's nice to get a solid estimate on how long Wright will be out. Eric Campbell looks poised to start at third base while Wright is out.

Wright (hamstring) was placed on the 15-day DL on Wednesday.
This was expected after Wright left Tuesday's game, but Wright did receive some encouraging news Wednesday, as his MRI revealed just a mild right hamstring strain. He was treated with a cortisone shot and will now rest for two days before attempting to ramp up his baseball activity. Eric Campbell was recalled to take Wright's spot on the roster and figures to help out at third base until Wright returns.

Wright (hamstring) is slated for an MRI Wednesday morning, the Star-Ledger's Mike Vorkunov reports.
He seemed resigned to going to the 15-day DL after leaving Tuesday's game with a pulled hamstring, and third baseman Eric Campbell was recalled from Triple-A Las Vegas after Wright's injury, so the writing is clearly on the wall here. Few players have Wright's reputation for playing through pain, so the fact that he is going to miss time speaks to the nature of the injury. Look for him to miss at least the rest of April.

Wright pulled his right hamstring while sliding awkwardly trying to steal second base and is likely headed for the 15-day DL, ESPN New York's Adam Rubin reports.
This is really bad news for the Mets as they are thin in the infield at the big league level. There is not an official timetable yet on Wright, but a hamstring pull often means that the player is sidelined for at least a few weeks. One option could be to recall Dilson Herrera or Eric Campbell from Triple-A Las Vegas, which could result in some pieces being shifted in the infield. Either way, owners of Wright should start looking for a fill-in option at the hot corner.

Wright left the game with what looked to be a right leg injury suffered while stealing second base in the eighth inning Tuesday.
Wright, who injured his shoulder sliding head-first last year, shifted to sliding feet-first this year. He appeared to have his right leg get caught slightly behind him and may have tweaked his knee. Wright stayed in the game for a bit but then pulled himself out.

Wright went 2-for-5 with a pair of RBI in Thursday's win over the Nationals.
He'd been off to a cool start in the first two games, going just 1-for-8, but there's no reason to be concerned with a sample size that small. With his shoulder healthy this year, Wright should return to being one of the better third basemen in fantasy. However, his RBI totals may be depressed if the Mets keep batting him second.
