Wright is out of the lineup Tuesday and will undergo another examination on his shoulder, Adam Rubin on ESPNNewYork.com reports. With Wright's left shoulder presenting issues yet again, the team will send him for another follow-up on the troublesome area. Wright initially bruised his rotator cuff in June and the issue was aggravated in mid-August after he was hit by a pitch. Eric Campbell will step in at third base and the three-hole in the order Tuesday, while Wright should be considered day-to-day until the results of his exam are made public.

Wright went 4-for-5 with a double, an RBI, one stolen base and two runs scored in Friday's 14-5 win over the Reds. Wright has been a major disappointment to fantasy owners this season, but the veteran third baseman has been showing signs of life in recent days. Over his last five games, the seven-time All-Star has gone 10-for-23 with three doubles and seven RBI.

Wright, without an extra-base hit since August 7, a span of 20 games, had a pair of doubles amongst his three hits in the Mets' 8-6 win over the Marlins on Tuesday. Wright has six hits and five runs batted in his last three games, as he tries to put his second half swoon behind him and have a strong finish to the season.

Wright went 1-for-5 Monday afternoon, driving home two runs and stealing a base. Wright has had a tough season, but may be coming out of his funk after driving in three runs in his last two games. The third baseman hit just .232 in August, which leaves him at .264 for the season.

Wright (neck) is back in the lineup Thursday, Jared Diamond of the Wall Street Journal reports. Wright looked to be on the fence for playing Thursday, but after doctors signed off on the health of his neck following batting practice, he was cleared to rejoin the lineup. The captain missed the previous two games due to a muscle spasm on the right side of his neck.

Wright (neck), who is out of the lineup for the second straight game Wednesday against the Braves could return to action Thursday, ESPN New York reports. Wright received treatment Tuesday and was able to take batting practice Wednesday in the cages and on the field. If he progresses enough overnight, there is a chance that Wright will be in the lineup Thursday.

Wright (neck) is out of the lineup Tuesday against the Braves. Wright left Sunday's game with a muscle spasm on the right side of his neck, and the injury will cause him to miss Tuesday's contest as well. The origin of the injury is unclear, but he is still considered day-to-day at this point.

Wright was removed from Sunday's game against the Dodgers with a muscle spasm on the right side of his neck. It's not certain how the injury came about, but there's a chance it might be related to the shoulder soreness he first experienced just over a week ago. Fortunately, the Mets will have an open date in the schedule Monday, which may be all the time he needs to recover from the issue.

Wright's nightmarish season continued Saturday, as he went 0-for-5, including a pair of strikeouts while also grounding into two double-plays. Wright also had the ignominy of having Daniel Murphy walked in front of him so that the Dodgers could face Wright with runners-on-base rather than Murphy. It worked out well for LA, as Wright struck out ending the inning. Wright is vulnerable to breaking pitches on the outer half, but because he is also struggling getting around on fastballs, moving closer to the plate would not rectify either situation. His .323 on-base and .368 slugging percentage are the worst of his career by far and each show no signs of rising, as he is 2-for-his-last-29 with no extra-base hits in his last 60 at-bats.
