Wright will remain in Los Angeles for several more weeks receiving treatment on his back, ESPN New York reports. Wright has said he expected to be back sooner rather than later but this news means he will be sidelined likely at least through the All-Star break. Look for the Mets to up their search for a third baseman to step in for Wright.

Wright (back) expects to play this season sooner rather than later, but still does not know when he plans to return, ESPN New York reports. After the news regarding Wright was generally optimistic, it has taken a turn. According to reports, Wright has been meeting with doctors every Monday, but there has been no real positive news regarding the spinal stenosis. Doctors do say, however, that they don't want to perform surgery on Wright because of how young he is. It is completely up in the air as to when Wright will be able to return to the field.

The Mets hope to have more clarity in the next day or two on the length of Wright's absence from spinal stenosis, ESPN New York reports. Wright, in Southern California the past week undergoing physical therapy with Dr. Robert Watkins and his staff in Los Angeles, is expected to visit the Mets at Petco Park on Tuesday. If all goes well with the therapy, it's possible Wright could rejoin the team in 2-3 weeks.

Wright received epidural injections in his back Monday, Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reports. Wright continues to work on his back issue, but remains without a clear timetable due to the nature of the problem. The team still contends it's not a long-term injury, but that should play itself out.

Wright will be in California this week to have his back examined by a specialist, Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reports. The Mets still don't believe Wright is dealing with a long-term issue, but they'll gather as much information as possible before laying out a treatment plan. While the former All-Star is out of commission, look for some combination of Ruben Tejada, Eric Campbell and Danny Muno to take over at third base, although GM Sandy Alderson hasn't ruled out looking for outside help.

Wright has been diagnosed with spinal stenosis, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports. The condition was disclosed after Wright's back stiffened up again Saturday, a day after he took batting practice. Wright is taking medication to treat the issue, but will be shut down for at least a week and any sort of timetable will be up in the air until he resumes baseball activities. Even then, any target dates will be very tentative given the recurring nature of the issue.

Wright's back stiffened up again and he will be shut down for another week, Jared Diamond of the Wall Street Journal reports. Wright took batting practice Friday and appeared to be nearing a rehab assignment, but evidently he did not respond well overnight as the Mets been forced to pump the brakes with him yet again. A hamstring strain sent Wright to the DL in mid-April, but the back issues have been the primary concern throughout May and a timetable for his return is up in the air following this setback.

Wright (hamstring/back) took batting practice Friday and should start a minor-league rehab stint next week, ESPN New York reports. Wright, out since April 15 with a strained right hamstring, then had lower-back pain when he looked close to returning. He may play in close to a week of games and then rejoin the Mets. That date is still up in the air, as the team could be cautious and wait until June 9 when they return home rather than having him come to the West Coast for games June 1-7.

Mets general manager Sandy Alderson said Tuesday that Wright (hamstring/back) could return in 10-to-14 days, ESPN's Adam Rubin reports. The timeline is consistent with previous reports, as Wright is expected to join the Mets in late May or early June. He resumed baseball activities Monday, after dealing with pain in his lower back last week.

Wright (back) went through baseball activities Monday, doing everything except swinging a bat, Marc Carig of Newsday reports. Fortunately for Wright, no setbacks have been reported this time, and he was shut down last week because of it. His timetable remains unclear at this point, but a return in late May or early June seems possible if Wright can progress without issue moving forward.
