Wright (hamstring) was placed on the 15-day DL on Wednesday. This was expected after Wright left Tuesday's game, but Wright did receive some encouraging news Wednesday, as his MRI revealed just a mild right hamstring strain. He was treated with a cortisone shot and will now rest for two days before attempting to ramp up his baseball activity. Eric Campbell was recalled to take Wright's spot on the roster and figures to help out at third base until Wright returns.
