Corey Kluber (finger) played catch on Tuesday.
It was the first time he had thrown a ball since spraining his right middle finger on August 5. The right-hander is expected back at some point in early September.

Corey Kluber (finger) is expected to miss 4-6 weeks.
Terrible news for the Tribe. Kluber landed on the disabled list Tuesday with a right middle finger sprain and won't throw until he's pain-free. It sounds like a return in late-September is the best-case scenario.

Indians placed RHP Corey Kluber on the 15-day disabled list with a sprained right middle finger.
A tough blow for the Tribe, as Kluber was really coming into his own this season. It's not clear at this point how long he'll be sidelined. The Indians should give Danny Salazar a long look in the rotation while Kluber is on the shelf.

Corey Kluber was denied a win after shutting out the Tigers for 7 1/3 innings on Monday.
Kluber allowed six hits, walked one and struck out six before leaving with a 2-0 lead. Unfortunately, Chris Perez blew the save in the ninth, leaving Kluber with his fourth straight no-decision. He's 1-0 with a 2.53 ERA in seven starts since the beginning of July.

Corey Kluber allowed four runs in 8 2/3 innings in a no-decision against the White Sox on Wednesday.
It was a strange end to an otherwise good start for Kluber, as an attempt at the complete-game victory turned into a no-decision when he couldn't nail down the final out. It was still a strong start for the right-hander, as he allowed eight hits and didn't walk a batter while striking out six. Kluber owns a 7-5 record and 3.77 ERA through 114 2/3 innings this year. His next start will come against the Tigers on Monday.

Corey Kluber (hip) will throw a bullpen session Tuesday before determining whether he's ready to make his next scheduled start on Friday.
Kluber had to leave Saturday's start with left hip tightness but is feeling better Sunday. Barring a setback, he should be ready to roll on Friday against the Rangers.

Corey Kluber came out of Saturday's game with left hip tightness after throwing five scoreless innings.
Kluber struck out seven before departing. He was already up to 93 pitches, so he was probably good for one more inning at the most. If it's just a little tightness, he shouldn't have any problem making his next start.

Corey Kluber delivered an outstanding performance in Friday's victory over the Royals, surrendering just three hits and three walks over 7 2/3 scoreless innings.
Kluber racked up eight punchouts in the impressive outing. It marked the sixth time that Kluber has struck out eight or more in a game this season. He finishes up a very solid first half of the season with a 7-5 record, 3.88 ERA and 94/22 K/BB ratio in 95 innings. His strikeout ability has been a nice surprise in fantasy leagues, and his 3.02 xFIP hints that he may be in line for even better results in the second half.

Corey Kluber struck out 10 and gave up two runs over 6 1/3 innings in a no-decision victory against the Tigers on Sunday.
He allowed five hits and three walks. Kluber gave up a solo home run to Miguel Cabrera in the first inning and is now on pace to surrender 20 this season. He's 6-5 with a 4.23 ERA and 1.28 WHIP, numbers he'll take into a date with the Royals on Friday.

Corey Kluber allowed four runs over 5 1/3 innings in a no-decision against the Royals on Tuesday.
It was a bit of a rebound start for Kluber, who allowed six earned runs his last time out. On Tuesday, Kluber allowed only four hits and two walks but was done in by an Alex Gordon grand slam in the fifth inning. Home runs have been a running theme all year for the right-hander, but he's otherwise been a pleasant surprise through the first half. Kluber's next start will come Sunday against the Tigers.
