Corey Kluber will start in place of the injured Brett Myers when the Indians face the White Sox on Wednesday.
Kluber didn't start the season with the club, but injuries have now forced him into a starting role. The right-hander has five strikeouts in five innings with the team this year.

Indians recalled RHP Corey Kluber from Triple-A Columbus.
He will replace Michael Bourn (finger) on the Indians' active roster. Kluber didn't make an appearance during his previous stint with the team and is expected to serve as a mop-up man this time around.

Kluber wound up not making an appearance with the big club, as his scheduled start was rained out. He'll rejoin Columbus' rotation.

Indians recalled RHP Corey Kluber from Triple-A Columbus.
The Indians have yet to announce a corresponding roster move. Since Brett Myers was forced to pitch in relief of Carlos Carrasco on Tuesday night, Kluber will make the start against the Yankees on Wednesday. He's likely to head right back down to the minors.

Kluber posted an ugly 5.14 ERA and 1.49 WHIP in 63 innings last season for the Tribe. The 26-year-old righty will operate as organizational relief depth again in 2013.

He allowed four hits and finished with two strikeouts. It was a solid performance from Kluber, who is bidding for the No. 5 spot in the Indians' rotation. The 26-year-old is looking to bounce back after posting an underwhelming 5.14 ERA in 12 starts at the major league level in 2012.

Corey Kluber underwent right knee surgery on Friday.
Kluber suffered the injury while playing with his daughter. The good news is that he's expected to be fully-recovered by the time spring training rolls around. The 26-year-old right-hander had an underwhelming 5.14 ERA over 12 starts at the major league level in 2012, but he's expected to compete for a rotation spot.

Corey Kluber was undone by an ugly sixth inning Monday, finishing the night by allowing four runs over 5 2/3 frames in a loss to the White Sox.
Kluber was unscored upon in the first five frames, but he allowed three hits and a walk in the sixth and watch the bullpen allowed both of their inherited runners to score. The righty was much improved after a really slow start for the Tribe but ultimately finishes the year with a 5.14 ERA and 1.49 WHIP.

Corey Kluber limited the White Sox to two runs and four hits in seven innings to win Tuesday.
Kluber gave up back-to-back homers to A.J. Pierzynski and Dayan Viciedo in the fifth, but the White Sox hardly threatened the rest of the day. The win moved Kluber to 2-4 with a 5.02 in 11 starts since arriving a couple of months ago.

Corey Kluber was knocked around in Friday's loss to the Tigers, surrendering four runs on eight hits over his five innings of work.
Kluber walked two and struck out five in the game. After getting the first two outs in the first inning, the Tigers strung together four consecutive singles to plate a pair of runs. He has had a rough go of it to this point of the season, compiling a 1-4 record and 5.48 ERA over his first 44 1/3 innings. He'll look to get back on track when he takes on the Twins at home on Thursday.
