Corey Kluber was tagged for seven runs -- six earned -- in 4 2/3 innings by the Orioles on Thursday.
It's the first time this season Kluber has had a bad outing that wasn't related to the home run ball. Of the 11 hits the Orioles racked up against him, nine were singles, while the other two were doubles. So, perhaps the bad outing was a bit of a fluke. We're not confident Kluber will produce value in mixed leagues all year long, but he'll be worth using when he faces the Royals next time out.

Corey Kluber allowed three runs in 5 2/3 innings but got the win against the Twins on Saturday.
It was a subpar start by Kluber's standards, as he had allowed just one run in his previous 16 innings heading into Saturday. The right-hander gave up eight hits, including two home runs, while striking out four. He'll take a 3.68 ERA into his start against the Orioles in Baltimore on Thursday.

Corey Kluber whiffed eight while holding the Nationals scoreless over eight innings in a 2-0 victory Sunday.
Kluber permitted just seven singles on the day. Indians manager Terry Francona sent him out for the eight even though he had already thrown 102 pitches, and Kluber responded with an easy, 12-pitch, 1-2-3 frame. The righty now has a 3.58 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and sparkling 65/12 K/BB ratio on the season. He should be in fantasy lineups for a nice matchup against the Twins at home next weekend.

Corey Kluber helped the Indians break an eight-game losing streak Tuesday, allowing one run over eight innings to beat the Rangers 5-2.
Kluber wasn't dominant, as he struck out only three batters on the night, but he was good enough to pick up his fourth win. The right-hander scattered six hits and three walks, with the only run coming on a David Murphy double in the eighth inning. He'll take the hill again on Monday against the Royals.

Corey Kluber allowed six runs -- four earned -- over six innings Wednesday in a loss to the Yankees.
Kluber struck out eight and walked just one, but the Yankees tagged him for some big hits and came out on top with CC Sabathia going the distance. Kluber has a 4.56 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 54/9 K/BB ratio in 49 1/3 innings this season. Those aren't terrible numbers, but he's a risky fantasy play next week in Arlington, Texas.

Corey Kluber pitched two hitless innings before his start Friday against the Rays was ended by a rain delay.
Kluber was working on a streak of three straight quality starts and seemed to be on his way to a fourth. He'll face the Yankees in the Bronx next time out.

Corey Kluber allowed three runs in 6 1/3 innings as the Indians lost to the Tigers on Tuesday.
Kluber was good until the sixth inning, when he allowed homers to Andy Dirks and Miguel Cabrera. Otherwise, Kluber struck out eight and was generally effective. The right-hander moved to 3-3 with the loss. His next start comes Sunday against the Red Sox.

Corey Kluber surrendered three runs in six innings Wednesday in a victory over the Phillies.
So, it turns out that Kluber is pretty good when he doesn't walk anyone or allow homers. He's put up zeroes in both categories in both of his wins this year, but he's walked six and allowed three homers in his two losses. Of course, this is true of every pitcher. Kluber just has less margin for error than most.

Corey Kluber had a very rough outing in Friday's loss to the Tigers, surrendering eight runs on 11 hits in only 4 2/3 innings.
Kluber walked a pair and struck out four on the evening. The Tigers powerful offense jumped all over him early and often, with Prince Fielder and Miguel Cabrera each leaving the yard. He'll head into Wednesday's start against the Phillies in Philadelphia with an uninspiring 5.64 ERA and 1.52 WHIP over his first 22 1/3 innings. He remains a poor option at best in most fantasy formats.

Corey Kluber labored through 5 2/3 innings Sunday, yielding three runs on five hits and four walks in a loss to the Twins.
Kluber did manage to strike out five, but he was shaky with his control after coming into the game having not walked a batter all season. He also served up his first homer of the year. Though he still has a nice 3.06 ERA and 1.19 WHIP, Kluber will be a risky fantasy option next weekend in Detroit.
