Chris Davis (knee) is expected to avoid the DL.
Davis injured his right knee while running to first base in the fifth inning Friday night in Anaheim. It looked ugly at the time but he was feeling pretty good on Saturday morning. Angels doctors found no structural damage when reviewing his MRI. Orioles doctors will take a gander when the team returns to Baltimore.

Chris Davis will undergo an MRI on his right knee on Saturday.
David left Friday's game in the fifth inning due to the injury. Orioles manager Buck Showalter said after the game that Davis was "pretty upbeat" about the situation, but we'll have a better idea about his status following the MRI. Ryan Flaherty, Steve Pearce and Nick Markakis are among the options to fill in at first base.

Chris Davis came up hobbling after running through first base on a ground out in the fifth inning. He wasn't able to put any weight on his right leg in the dugout. Ryan Flaherty took over at first base for Davis. The O's will likely release an update on his status shortly.

Chris Davis smacked his eighth home run of the season Thursday against the Athletics.
Davis went 2-for-3 with two walks on the day, including a solo homer in the sixth inning and an RBI single in the eighth. He is now tied with Toronto's J.P. Arencibia for the American League lead in homers. While he ranks second in the league with 24 RBI, this was his first multi-RBI game since April 5.

Chris Davis continued his assault on the Rays' pitching staff Thursday, hitting a two-RBI double and a two-run homer in the win.
Both the longball and the double came off of Rays starter Roberto Hernandez. Davis homered in each game of the three-game set, going 7-for-11 with 11 RBI in the series overall. A cold streak is bound to come eventually for the inconsistent slugger, but he's obviously one of the hottest hitters in the game right now.

Chris Davis had four hits, including a three-run homer, in the Orioles' loss to the Rays on Wednesday.
The 27-year-old first baseman enjoyed a big year in 2012, hitting 33 home runs with 85 RBI. He's got two home runs already this season, so it looks like the breakout was for real. Now in his prime, Davis could be a fantasy monster in 2013.

Chris Davis went 2-for-3 and hit a two-run homer against the Mets on Saturday.
The homer off Jeremy Hefner was just his fourth extra-base hit in 57 at-bats this spring. Davis, who hit 33 homers in 139 games for the Orioles last year, will be the regular No. 5 hitter behind Adam Jones and Matt Wieters to start this season.

Chris Davis ripped a two-run homer in Wednesday's Cactus League game against the Red Sox.
Davis struck out in his other two plate appearances, but he lofted a ball to left field in the sixth inning that just cleared the wall. The soon-to-be 27-year-old is moving in to first base for the O's this season and has a shot to top 30 homers for the second straight year.
