Chris Davis had a homer and a three-run double to lead the Orioles to a 6-2 win over the Rays on Thursday. Davis had been ice cold of late, going 0-for-3 with three strikeouts in each of his previous two starts. In fact, he was hitting just .191 since the beginning of June. Fortunately, the Orioles' numerous injuries have conspired to keep Davis in the lineup for the duration of his slump. Maybe he'll heat back up now.

Chris Davis will make his first major league start in left field on Friday. Davis has made 15 starts in right field this season, but he'll slide over to left field now that Nick Markakis (hamate bone surgery) is back from the disabled list.
