Utley is out of the lineup against the Cubs on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
It will be the first game off for the 36-year-old since joining the Dodgers. Utley has struggled this season, but has perked up a bit recently recording a hit in five of his seven games with the Dodgers. It's unlikely Utley will see regular playing time once Howie Kendrick (hamstring) returns from the DL, however, he has yet to participate in any rehab games as of Saturday. Jose Peraza, the highly-regarded prospect, will make his first start since rejoining the team on Friday.

Utley went 1-for-3 with a triple, an RBI and a run scored in a 4-1 win over the Cubs on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Utley has hit safely in five of his seven games as a Dodger, but has failed to record a multi-hit game. It's just been that type of season for the former All-Star, as he has just 21 extra-base hits all season long. His fantasy relevancy has fallen off the table as well and he's hard to trust in even the deepest of formats at this point of his career.

The Philadelphia Phillies agreed to trade second baseman Chase Utley to the Los Angeles Dodgers on Wednesday, according to CBS Sports. The deal, which would send two prospects to the Phillies, has not been finalized yet, but it could be a logical move for the Dodgers, as starting second baseman Howie Kendrick will miss at least two more weeks because of a hamstring injury. Phillies general manager Ruben Amaro said Tuesday that Utley was looking like he was fully recovered from his ankle injury after coming off the disabled list Aug. 7. "He's moving well," Amaro said. "His bat speed is very good. You can see his legs are underneath him. And it seems pretty clear that there was something going on in his ankle that was limiting him in some way, shape or form. He looks like he's pretty much a man on a mission." Utley is hitting .484 in 31 at-bats this month.

The Philadelphia Phillies activated second baseman Chase Utley from the disabled list Friday after he recovered from an ankle injury, according to the team's official website. Utley lost his role as the starting second baseman after a rough start to the season when he hit .179 in 65 games, but interim manager Pete Mackanin said he will try to keep Utley fresh by getting him regular at-bats. "I'm going to do as much as I can to try to get [Utley] in there four days a week," Mackanin told MLB.com. "I've already had a meeting with Cesar, Freddy and [Maikel] Franco. And even with Whitey [Andres Blanco]. They're all aware of the situation and the need to get Chase at-bats." Utley replaced Jordan Danks on the active roster. The Phillies will enter Friday's game against the San Diego Padres with a 42-67 record, putting them in last place in the National League East.

The Philadelphia Phillies will activate second baseman Chase Utley from the 15-day disabled list prior to Friday's game against the San Diego Padres after he recovered from an ankle injury, according to the team's official website. Utley, who has been sidelined since late June as a result of the injury, has struggled mightily with the big club this season, hitting just .179/.257/.275 over 65 games, but he has performed well during his rehab assignment, tallying six hits in 11 at-bats with Triple-A Lehigh Valley. There has been no word as to Utley's role upon his return, as he had lost the starting job to Caesar Hernandez prior to sustaining the injury. The Phillies will enter the Friday's game against the Padres with a 42-67 record, the worst in baseball, which puts them firmly in last place in the National League East division.

Utley (ankle) took ground balls at second base Friday, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Utley also fielded throws at both first base and second base. He is expected to return to a part-time role when he is fully healthy. The Phillies have yet to announce an official time frame, but Utley has previously said he hopes to be back before the end of the month.

Utley (ankle) will likely have a part-time role upon his activation from the DL, the Philadelphia Daily News' Ryan Lawrence reports.
When asked if Utley would be the team's everyday second baseman when he returned, general manager Ruben Amaro did not mince words. "Not for me he's not," Amaro said. "Cesar Hernandez is our best second baseman." Those words will likely sting Utley, but it's also difficult to argue against Amaro here, as Utley was performing at below replacement level prior to being placed on the DL. Either way, it's difficult to make a case for holding Utley in most formats, while Hernandez may be worth a long-term look.

Utley (ankle) said he is hopeful he can return to the Phillies before the end of the month, the team's official site reports.
Utley received a cortisone shot last week which has given him some relief from the inflammation in his right ankle. He could start taking some ground balls at second base next weekend to test the ankle. Cesar Hernandez will continue to fill in at second base while Utley is sidelined.
